This place during the day is great. Quiet and lots of seating with no hassle. Its got a bit of a bad rep at night on weekends which is too bad. Its two floors and the folks that work there want to change things. My kids had no issues.

It’s a good atmosphere, the service and staff were great but. The building itself is kinda lacking and dated. One of the bricks on the steps is very loose when you step on it, still can’t say you won’t have a good time if you choose to come.

Phenomenal service consistently. The karaoke nights are the best in town, the energy is top notch, and the food is fantastic. Consistently come back just to see Lauren and Bella! All of the bartenders are amazing, and can turn your night around in an instant. Plus, the regulars are some of the friendliest people in town.

Full disclosure Im originally from Newmarket (74'-87) this and The 4seasons are the only restaurants (that i am aware of ) that are still running from that time. So I do come for the nostalgia. But biais aside.... It is a wonderful pub. There's a variety of selection of food, a good selection of ice cold beers and service that is warm and friendly. The Grey Goat has lasted this long because it is dependable that you will happily fed with great service. When in Newmarket stop in for a pint and bite...you won't be disappointed

It’s looked like a really cool place from the outside. Inside it was quite the opposite. I ordered my food and was waiting for almost half an hour before I approached the waitress and asked her will it be much longer. I saw by her face they forgot to ring in my order. They quickly corrected the mistake. Once I received my food I realized it was all frozen. Nothing fresh and nothing made from scratch. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had.

If you are apart of the Newmarket community this place feels like home. All the staff are so compassionate and caring, they serve every table with a great attitude and smile. The food is just perfect if your looking for some classic pub/bar food. I have eaten here over 50 times for sure and sat and hung out here over 100s of nights. The atmosphere and team is one that makes anyone feel comfortable they have something for everyone and each staff memeber goes above and beyond for their visitors. If your looking for a fun night out with friends THIS IS THE PLACE, a comforting family dinner THIS IS THE PLACE, taking someone on a first date THIS IS THE PLACE, celebrating a birthday or hosting any sort of private event a THIS IS THE PLACE. No matter what your coming in the doors for you will walk out satisfied and for me the big seller is feeling like apart of the family when I leave. They will make you feel at home.
