The quality and taste of the food were fantastic and amazing. It was not greasy and was perfectly cooked. Jay is very friendly and has extensive knowledge from his many years in the business. A great place for fish and chips!

Everything appeared clean and orderly, including the bathrooms. The gentleman who took our order was friendly at the counter. My buddy and I ordered halibut and chips (fries) which arrived to our table quite quickly after ordering. It seems that the oil used for cooking was fresh, and the food was not greasy at all, which is quite rare for fish and chips. The gentlemen who delivered our order to our table checked in on us a couple of times to make sure everything was okay with our meals. Based on these things, I'm very satisfied and I'd definitely go there again. I'm getting hungry for it again, just writing this review LOL.

J's Fish and chip's restaurant remind me of the old diner feel. It's not glamorous, just clean, functional and good. The fish is great, a little to oily and soggy but that's because we didn't eat there. Point is beyond the batter the actual fish piece you get is sizeable. Plus lots of fries! The malt vinegar is recommended to be put on. All in all very satisfying. Thanks Jay!

We dined in and the food was so good That we took food to go for family at home. The fish was cooked to perfection. Fries and onion rings were good. Prices were more than fair in today’s world and we will be back again. This is from a family of extremely picky eaters and it’s taken 20 years to find another fish and chip spot, since Old Galley in Richmond hill closed. The owner was friendly and courteous as well.

Food always tastes good, and my experience so far has been phenomenal. It’s my go to Fish and Chips place!
Went there with my mom and bought a senior special (2 piece halibut) and a halibut one piece. As you noticed in my pictures the one piece is mine and other (2 pieces)is the senior special. if you place them side by side the 2 pieces equal the one piece , they actually charge more for the senior special halibut at $17, my halibut was $15, way to go, nice way to rip off elderly people .What a joke! They should be ashamed of them selves. The restaurant smelled musty, it was hot, most likely because the AC wasn't on causing the musty mildew smell. Overall my experience was not great.
