Everything appeared clean and orderly, including the bathrooms. The gentleman who took our order was friendly at the counter. My buddy and I ordered halibut and chips (fries) which arrived to our table quite quickly after ordering. It seems that the oil used for cooking was fresh, and the food was not greasy at all, which is quite rare for fish and chips. J's Fish and chip's restaurant remind me of the old diner feel. It's not glamorous, just clean, functional and good. The fish is great, a little to oily and soggy but that's because we didn't eat there. Point is beyond the batter the actual fish piece you get is sizeable. Plus lots of fries! The malt vinegar is recommended to be put on. All in all very satisfying. Thanks Jay!
