I recently visited the Milestones in Newmarket, and I was extremely disappointed with the experience.
From the outside, the building already gives off a sense of neglect—it’s in clear need of maintenance and care, which unfortunately reflects the overall experience inside as well.
Upon being seated, I noticed the glasses on the table were not properly cleaned, which is an immediate red flag for hygiene. I only saw one server attending the tables, resulting in slow service and an overwhelmed staff member, despite doing their best.
The food quality was very poor. The artichoke dip was watery, but the nacho chips were good. The salad was particularly unacceptable—wilted, mushy, and quite frankly, disgusting. It should never have left the kitchen in that condition, which points to a serious lack of quality control.
For the high prices charged, the quality of food and service is simply not justifiable. This location used to be a great spot, and it's a real shame to see how far it has fallen.
I won’t be returning, and I definitely won’t be recommending this location to anyone.

Worst experience we’ve had in dining out in a very long time. I took four friends to milestones telling them what a great place it was. When we got there, the menu had changed. There was not one thing on the menu that anybody even wanted. We ordered wine and it took a half an hour to get a glass of wine. I wanted to leave, but my friends felt that was rude so they ordered. Another half hour before our meals came. It was not good. Too Spivey, , frozen French fries, slimmy, limp lettuce for a salad. No surprise. If we’d wanted a dessert which we didn’t we were out of luck. We weren’t even offered a dessert menu. I wish we had left as I suggested. We asked for the Bill paid it and left It was an embarrassment for me as I had suggested we go there. I will not make that mistake again. PS: We stopped at Tim Hortons on the was home because we were all still hungry having not eaten our meal at Mikestones.

I came here with my husband earlier tonight and ordered the smash burger. Aside from the food being delicious, the service was incredible. Jade, our waitress was attentive, kind, and helpful the entire time we were there. She was knowledgeable on the menu and never got annoyed with any of our questions or requests. One of the best experiences we’ve had at any Milestones. We will be returning!

We were impressed by how accommodating the staff was to my allergy. The server and the server's trainer were helpful and respectful, and the manager came to have a chat with us. The kitchen staff came up with a plan for an allergen-free chicken taco substitute for the one posted on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. At no time did any of the staff we encountered make us feel like we were inconveniencing them.

I originally gave this location 4 stars, but after today, I have to bump it to 5. I came here for a first date and was so nervous. I arrived early and ordered a cocktail (the Strawberry Haze - amazing, highly recommend!) and was clearly a little stressed.
Our server was beyond kind. She instantly put me at ease and quietly let me know that if I was feeling unsafe, just to let her know. I won’t share her name for privacy, but she was an absolute gem...truly a “girls’ girl”. That small gesture completely changed my mindset and made me feel safe and supported.
For the record, the date went great (no intervention needed!), but the fact that the staff went above and beyond in that way was incredible. It’s the kind of care you don’t forget, and I will absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Oh, and the food! I had the green curry (very tasty) and my date had the butter chicken, which he loved.

Food was cooked to perfection and temp was amazing, portions were perfect and a slight modification to menu was accommodated! Drinks were mixed great ! Congrats to the person who made the capuchino done to perfection foam and coffee temp! Our waitress Sofia was not only knowledgeable, polite and attentive during our meal!
