A cute little bakery on Main St. New Market. We went after lunch in the afternoon so most of their pastries were sold out already, so I grabbed a chocolate chip maple dip. Very decadent and pairs well with a black coffee.
Next time I’m in the neighbourhood I’ll be back to try some other items.

Dangerously delicious and full of temptation — this bakery is our go to heaven. The cheddar jalapeño sourdough? Life-changing. If a bread could win awards, this one deserves a trophy and a standing ovation. So DELICIOUS. As for the cinnamon cruffin pull-apart… let’s just say my kids turn into wild animals when it hits the table (including myself). It’s their all-time favorite dessert. If you’re looking for something delicious for an everyday bite or special occasion, you’ve found the spot.

I placed an order for same day pastries on a Thursday and unfortunately there was a mix up and my order was not ready when I arrived. The owner was so apologetic she gave me a dozen complimentary cookies (which were absolutely delicious). She had my order ready before opening the following day and threw in another box of complimentary pastries. She was so kind and rectified the situation immediately + more! My party raved about the pastries all day long! 10/10

I have tried the caramelized craffin today, it was very delicious, with a fragrance of expencive butter. May be you can make this kind of cruffin with nutella( my daughter's suggestions).
We walked by this cute shop & decided to go in for a sweet after lunch treat. This was less than an hour before they closed so there weren’t a ton of options but it was so hard to choose because everything looked amazing. The cinnamon bun, coffee cake, nutella pastry & earl grey scone looked to die for but we ended up going for the cookie butter scone, brown butter choco chip cookie & brown butter confetti cookie. They all exceeded expectations & it was $7.50 for everything which i feel is pretty reasonable for the quality and the size of the scone was huge. Nothing was overly sweet it was just perfect and tasted fresh & moist. We will be going back earlier in the day to try more variety. I wish there was somewhere to sit but it’s not a huge space.

I have been getting baked goods from nutmeg for many years now, and they are truly one of my local favourites - I make a point of bringing their cruffins and other treats whenever I visit friends and family out of town. Meg, Tim, and their whole team are great, plus there are daily specials as well cruffin of the month varieties so there is always something new to try. If you’re not a huge fan of sweets, their breads and savoury baked goods are also terrific. If you’re coming from out of town on the weekend, it could be worth ordering online in advance to avoid disappointment, but they are usually very well stocked. Highly recommend!!
