The food at Plates and Bowls is fresh, flavourful and delicious! The owner and staff are so friendly and the owner is incredibly kind and generous. This is definitely a small business I would continue to support.

It’s without fail, the most consistent food I’ve had in the area. It’s nothing glamorous, but the food is excellent value and have great specials every day. Thankful to have this in the neighbourhood.

I went there on a Satursay, during the day. Ordered 2 chicken plates with rice. Employee asked if I wanted hot sauce for mine I said yes and for my wife I asked if she can put on the side since she was sharing with my 1 yr old daughter. She said ok. I paid the bill and noticed she charged me $2 because I asked for it on the side but when mine was put on my plate it was free. I explained to the lady "if there was an extra charge I would've appreciated if you had at least told me instead of just charging it, I even tipped you 15% for your service so i am at least owed that as part of your service" she then shrugged her shoulders and walked away. The rice and chicken was dry and wanted to complain but the way the employee didn't care, there was no point so we threw out our full plate of food in the garbage and went somewhere else. My company is around this area and I have been avoiding my employees from coming due to food quality and service

So, first time being in the store and was confused as to what to get, the service associate (Karan) helped me to pick my meal, he gave a little portion of each type of chicken they had, to make my choice. Butter chicken Pasta was so delicious and was exactly made like I asked for.
Samosas were fresh and the salad made the whole experience above and beyond. So good to have such a place in New Market even for a quick bite or full course meal.
Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options like salad, samosas and many more..
Their lunch specials are super tasty and I really appreciate that they haven't raised their prices despite high inflation. I would highly recommend a visit here for any and all of their dishes. Update July 2024: Lunch specials have finally changed after many years. I am attaching a pic of the new menu.

Used to be A go to for us each time we past through newmarket. Recent visits have been lacking in quality and service, we came here today and asked for extra meat, we recived only 1 extra peice and a ton of sauce. Salad looked old same with the meat. Probably never going to come here again.
