We really enjoy the all you can eat feature at this restaurant. Some of our favourite sushi all around. Tempura is especially good, sashimi is fresh and a large variety of rolls.

My Friends and I recently got food poisoning from this place - and it looks like they keep getting shut down by food inspectors. I would recommend going somewhere else.

The service was the only thing this restaurant had going for itself. The servers were lovely. My family& I love going for sushi and particularly love salmon sushi. The salmon, both smoked and not smoked, were discoloured - brown in colour. When I asked about it, I was told that the salmon was simply smoked and that’s why it was discoloured. I’ve had a lot of smoked salmon in my lifetime and never have I seen it brown in colour and told that it was “smoked” and ok to eat. Gross. The food came out super quickly, which at first seemed great, but later realized the sushi rolls were probably pre-rolled and not fresh to order. The rice on the rolls was hard, and nothing we tried tasted truly fresh. Simply put, this was not a great experience. I’m grossed out by the sushi. Certainly won’t be coming back.

Take sushi had major health violations in 2019 and they vowed to do better. They were recently written up again. “ failing to maintain the food premises in a clean and sanitary condition and failing to provide adequate protection against the entrance of insects, vermin or rodents, according to a public health inspection report.” Gross.

This is my favourite sushi place in all of GTA. I have been coming here for so many years and the quality and service is consistent and so fresh. I still make the drive out here just to have their sushi. Great owner and love to see the same staff over the years. Do not let the tip complaints here change your mind: The 12% tip is nothing to complain about. They tell you about the 12% in advance and do not let you tip over it unless you explicitly want to. 12% is well below the 15% that is typical and is warranted due to the service.

Rotten fish given to me for take out.
Upon opening trays strong fish smell, tried one piece and it was sour meaning the fish had gone bad.
Went back to the restaurant and failed to get a refund.
Go anywhere else. Won’t be going back.
UPDATE: We did not eat several pieces of sushi, we tried it and spat it out. We threw out the soup and salad. When I brought the sushi home, I put it in the freezer before eating it. THE FISH WAS BAD, the refund should have been $26. Waste of time and gas.
I have been eating raw fish in sushi for years and never had a problem. Have been eating at this restaurant for years and never had a problem till yesterday. Listen to your customers next time. If you can’t handle raw fish I would suggest not running a sushi restaurant.

After a disastrous time at Golden Maki Sushi in Newmarket we came here and it was amazing, super friendly staff. Food came out at exceptional rates and was delicious. Would 10/10 recommend this sushi restaurant.

I've been getting the same take out tray here at least 1 a month for over 2 years. And every time it's been phenomenal (except only once buy it was still great)The shrimp breading is fantastic. The avocado's are perfectly ripe. And the salmon is my preferred flavor. And lastly, the rice is wonderful texture with a little bit of sweetness.
