Server was rude and insisted that I tip, but tips should be earned, not expected. If I felt she deserved a tip, I would have tipped her. She had an attitude with my friend and I the whole time. On top of that they only accepted cash, no card.

Pals and I enjoyed a night at the Blue Lagoon! Great caring bartender, low prices, wide selection of music hits for everyone, and lots of fun locals. Much better than Sports Beat (a competitor bar) from what I hear.

I moved to niagara Falls in 2007 and this became my watering hole. I learned that the owner was from my country of birth and his son and I became really good friends. We became inseparable for a few years and I would come to his bar VERY frequently ( had a little bit of an alcohol problem back then lol). Long story short, we had a falling out ( over something really stupid, as is usually the case) and I ended up moving away. I recently googled his name and found out he had passed away last year. He was only 41 or 42 years old. I'm completely shocked and heartbroken, haven't been able to get it out of my mind for the last 2 weeks. One of the most wonderful people I've ever met. My friend runs the karaoke at this place. I spontaneously walked in to support him with my boyfriend, we said hello and put in a song and ordered water upon arrival and then got yelled at by Sam the bartender for doing so. We left within 10 minutes and won’t ever be back.
