We’ve considered this our go to spot for Chinese food the past few years. We will be moving our business elsewhere, after speaking to the lady on the phone about vegetarian options we ended up ordering the chop suey/chow mein not realizing it’s the exact same dish aside from 10 soggy noodles. When we called back the lady said she usually tells people and that’s it’s a common mistake and that she was “sorry”. To add onto this we received no fortune cookies, something that we look forward to when ordering Chinese food. Prior to this visit, I called for takeout and was told a time came back at the time and it was forgotten about. I thought okay that happens but again all I got was a brief unapologetic sorry. I’d recommend checking out your other options in the area before giving this a shot.

We’ve been ordering from Far East for over 15 years and have always considered it our go-to spot for Chinese food. Unfortunately, after our most recent experience, we’ll be taking our business elsewhere.
We ordered the dinner for 4 (around $70) and specifically requested no almonds in one of the dishes due to a serious nut allergy in our household. Despite this clear instruction, the dish arrived with almonds, making it not only inedible but also dangerous. Mistakes happen, but what made this worse was the restaurant’s lack of accountability or willingness to help when we called to let them know.
There was no apology, no offer to replace the dish or make it right — just indifference. After 15 years of loyal business, that’s incredibly disappointing.
Sadly, it looks like it’s time to find a new spot that takes dietary restrictions — and customer care — more seriously.

Had take out late evening a few days ago. Couldn’t believe the good amount of food and very enjoyable. Nice size shrimp. Great lemon chicken. Good value and I would go back. Only problem…ate too much!

Don't waste your time.
Order exactly this: Dry Garlic Spare Ribs + 1-2 orders of white rice
Chinese restaurants are not known for good customer service since it's the food that matters. Order the right food or be disappointed. Since having had this Dry Garlic Spare Ribs here for many years, I have since moved to the GTA and not 1 Chinese or non-Chinese restaurant have anything spare ribs that come close to as tasty with white rice as this place makes it over the years. Every time I come by Niagara Falls to see family I would order 1 to go. I wish this place reopen here in the GTA i would drive 1 hour 1 way just for their Dry Garlic Spare Ribs + white rice + coke. Next time I visit will update with photo of the exact dish. Oh and yes it pairs very well with Coke.
Order ahead of time, pickup and go.
chicken cow main couldn't find the chicken, too much batter on the shrimp and the rest forget. Will not order again from here.
Very delicious
And very friendly service
So disappointed in the S & S Wonton
Meat if any was the size of a pea couldn't even taste it
And the Cantonese Chow Mein was very oily when I make my homemade there is no oil added to the dish
Will return but not for these dishes
It’s only a take out place now. No dine in! Portion size is average. Taste was good. Forgot to picture orange chicken but it was good.
Its takeout only but delicious

Dec 31, 2024 I placed an early take out order and the lady that took the order was extremely rude and condescending. Upon picking my order up I made mention that the website indicates 10% off pick ups over $30. I was told that the amount was changed to $50 to get 10% off. I mentioned they should change the error on website and if they are not honouring advertised discount it would be considered false advertising. Everyone behind the counter aggressively tried to justify this error by saying they had nothing to do with that website? They don’t have to give discount and a lot of other dumb excuses. The other customers in line agreed with what the website advertised. For me it wasn’t about the money it was about principle and the lack of customer service that was received. I get in my car and look at my bill and it was $49.85 . You would think that any intelligent business person would have honoured the 10% being so close to the $50. At this point I could have gone back in to make a stink, but honestly I was mentally exhausted. You can’t fix stupid.
FYI. Their food used to be amazing and honestly it was terrible this time. My opinion they have gone downhill. I will be taking my business somewhere where I feel like a customer not an idiot 🤦♀️🤷♀️

This whole experience pissed me off. I order pick up takeout, large order mind you. Was told 45 minutes to pick up, that's fine...showed up at pickup time and waited an additional 15 minutes on top, paid for food and left. when I got hone I noticed that the Chicken chow mein that was ordered was chicken chop suey. All bean sprouts no noodles, so I called the restaurant to reflect the mistake and inquire, I let them know I wasn't able to come get a replacement but just wanted them to be more thorough next time with takeout orders. Apparently they just have the same dishes under different names becuad the Chicken Chow Mein a traditional NOODLE dish had zero noodles. they had the dry noodles that come on top of Chop Suey and we're serving it as such. When I let them know their mistake they seemed to not care at all. Will never order from them again, they had a white lady on the phones and taking care of takeout orders who clearly doesn't know the difference between a chow mein and chop suey. So that's absolute bullshit.
