Frijoles has been a staple for myself, my family and friends for about 9 years now, the owners are great , kind people. I’ve become friends with a few of the staff over the years as well and they all go above and beyond to ensure you are happy. Have tried the majority of the menu but always end up with either a taco bag, a steak or beef burrito (huge) or a rice bowl (which is basically a burrito minus the wrap in a bowl) Their customer made sauces are the icing on the cake (or burrito) and you can go from just adding delicious flavour, to hear for even the super spicy/hot food addicts out there (tyn sauce) would definitely recommend to all for a delicious meal , enjoy!
Vegetarian options: Plenty of delicious vegetarian options
What happened to frijoles? I use to live here and came almost daily back in 2017….. I always make a stop here when I come up to visit, but every time it’s gotten worse and worse. Sauces don’t even taste the same and either does the steak and toppings. I was so excited to come here this year and it was a real let down.

This place has been declining drastically. Numerous incidents of BOTH owners having full out screaming tantrums, berating their young employees, with customers witnessing their ignorance & abuse. The ending of your marriage and health issues is not what we need to hear. If you're both that moody & miserable & can't be on the same page as business partners, maybe end your business relationship as well. Complaining about how much everything costs you, while having raised your prices considerably, while yelling at your employees if they're not giving us your bare minimum portions, is unacceptable. We are all dealing with inflation of everything as well. Nobody should have to deal with your up & down moods, or pay higher prices for much less food of reduced quality. No wonder you have such high staff turnover. Your repeated abusive behavior should be reported or at least their parents should know, as some employees think they have to tolerate owners bullshit to keep their job

This place used to be some of the best Tex-Mex in the city, but now it's a complete rip-off. I recently went in to order two steak bowls, both with sauces on the side. The sauces were put directly on the bowls instead, and when I mentioned it to the staff, they remade them but repeatedly told me they can no longer do sauces on the side. The decline in service and quality is obvious — no wonder the Lundy's Lane location didn't work out. The staff seems very young and uninterested in providing good, friendly service. Everything feels rushed, and the vibe has really changed.
This used to be the place where you'd never have to pay for guac, and now they're charging extra for "supposedly" included sauces ($3.50) on bowls that already cost $20 each! When I pointed out that we had no issue getting sauces on the side just a few weeks ago, the employee responded with, "Yeah, she doesn’t work here anymore," which felt really unprofessional to say to a customer.
The owners have really let this business go downhill. Such a shame.

Put an order online on dineniagara and when I got to the restaurant I was told they can't put sauces on the side because it's more then they give you if they squirt it in the dish... I told the employee she should have called to ask about the sauces and she just shrugged it off .
When you're spending 40$ on two bowls you're expecting it to get it the way you ordered it!
This place use to preach that they would never charge for guacamole EVER! LOL and here they are charging for sauces now and guac..

UPDATE: Tried again - Fish taco have 2 pieces of breading there’s literally no fish? ***Last time coming here I’ll be honest -burrito was better though - much bigger
My burrito is the size of a pop can.. smallest burrito I’ve ever gotten ANYWHERE This is a little ridiculous, what happened..

We had taco trios, a taco bag, and a burrito. The owner seemed really nice and explained well since it was our first time visiting there. Taco was amazing. The taco bag was really yummy. Maybe we made a mistake on burrito for putting too much beans, but it was fine as well. I see some reviews that the price has gone up too much, and I get that. But I don't think it's just Frijoles.. everywhere is too expensive now. I think they have a decent price for the amount of food they give. Tacos and burrito were pretty big.
Really good food; they fill it up, portions are so generous, and the price is right. They are so kind, but make sure you get in there before 12:30; the lunch rush is no joke.
Vegetarian options: All their food comes vegetarian, with mean or protiens being extra
Dietary restrictions: Its all made fresh to order!!

love the food it’s delicious, one of my friend suggested here to try but now I’m obsessed …if you see guy working abhishek you know it’s gonna be the perfect combo of whatever you are having…great service always…might be rude but I prefer his customer service mostly…even if I have to come back :|
