Halibut House Fish & Chips

Great place for breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes and choice of meat for $5.95. Coffee/tea and little expensive at $3.95.

Have been going to Halibut house regularly but recently noticed quite a increase in their prices especially for halibut as it went from $21.95 to $24.95. Even at $21.95 i felt it was highly priced compared to other fish and chip places but at halibut house it had lots of sitting and their service was quite good.
However since checking out prices after this increase had me wondering whether their cost really was worth it, i have found Union Jacks in St.Catharines on 4th st sells Halibut for $15.95. Plenty of sitting as well and actually their portion of chips were a lot more and their halibut just as good if not better and almost equal size as it's more long shaped then square. Anyhow the price difference is HUGH . $15.95 compared to $24.95 plus their pop price $2.50 compared to $1.79 PLUS Union Jacks also has specials on Halibut for online orders. Anyhow checking my bills to Compare with tip was over $70 at halibut House compared to $44 at Union Jacks.
Sorry Halibut House but that much difference in price says you lost a good customer.

The best place in Niagara area for fish. The batter is light and amazing. But what makes them stand out from the rest is the way the fish is cut!
In a rectangle shape with no thin end pieces to get stuck to the batter and hard (like every other fish place)

Lakeport, Queens, Serbian Hall, the Legion and Chip n Charlie’s.
We have tried them all and Halibut House Niagara is #1!!!!!!!

Amazing staff and breakfast was great!!

Worst experience. The food last night gave my husband food poisoning..... It tasted like they cooked the fries in the fish oil. I will not be going back here. Disgusting and not worth $30 for us to eat. 🤮 I didn't finish my meal

Halibut House in Niagara Falls is the best location for fish and chips! The batter is light and crispy, the chips are perfect, the tartar sauce is delicious, the dining area is beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive. With a large variety of items on the menu, I will definitely come back. Thank you for satisfying my fish and chip craving!

Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Food wasn't the best unfortunately. The fish was greasy and the fries and ketchup had an odd taste. It was like the ketchup had added vinegar and the fries picked up the flavour of the cooking oil. A bit on the pricey side compared to other spots in Niagara.

It was the first time the three of us went there, and we were already impressed with how clean it is, that's including the washrooms too. Our order was served to our table within just a few minutes (three Halibut Fish & Chips). Everything was fantastic, and we'd like to give our hugest thanks to Jen for making it that way 🔥👌 Service from Jen was outstanding! She even took photos for us 😁 (we didn't ask, SHE offered!) Because of all that, and the quality, we'll be coming back for sure! BTW, we're from Buffalo, NY, so us saying that says a lot 😉

Food was good. Very small portion of fries with fish. Our server came to table twice once to take order and to bring food. Never came to ask how food was or if we wanted anything else to drink. Will not go back. Very poor service
