Hidden gem in the Niagara area!
Fresh and satisfying sashimi lunch set. The house-made salad dressing was amazing, the miso soup well-balanced, and the tempura perfectly light and crispy. Nice touch with individual dipping bowls. Attentive service. Will definitely be back!
We had dinner here while sight-seeing with four kids. We were looking for “non-touristy” food and are big sushi fans - this place did not disappoint! Excellent food, excellent service. This is authentic Japanese cuisine, not typical American rolls with cream cheese or some other abomination. Noodles looked amazing, although we stuck to sushi, sashimi, and rolls - may have to go back! Highly recommend if you are looking for something besides crappy burgers and greasy fries.
This lowkey establishment was a pleasant discovery. The staff were very friendly and attentive! The food was outstanding, the grilled mackerel and chirashi don is a must try in my opinion! I also really appreciated the atmosphere and the fact that there were no screaming children. I would definitely comeback here again! Please note that the space is relatively small so on days such as friday or weekends, it would be wise give them a call or make reservations or else you might have to wait a little!
Best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to! Everything we tried was amazing—shrimp tempura, chicken karaage, gyoza, tonkatsu, nabeyaki udon, spider roll, and ice cream. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was top-notch. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for an authentic Japanese food, this is the right place to go. We had the hot Soba, and the texture of the noodle is perfect! Their Pork Tonkatsu is soft in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The ambiance is homey and their crew are super friendly. We will definitely come and visit this place again.
An authentic Japanese restaurant is the biggest surprise in my Niagara fall tour!
I would recommend everyone try the Udon and Eel sushi!! The Udon soup and the homemade udon just perfect 👌 Even better than what I ate in Tokyo; And the Eel sushi just melted in mouth on the first bite; Wasabi also fabulous with the natural taste instead the tube one….perfect food and heal me
Small and quaint restaurant that served mostly noodles ( soba or udon) hot or cold style. The portion size was on the smaller side and also quite salty.
If you're looking and crave for authentic Japanese foods made by actual Japanese Ojisans, Yukiguni is one of those places. We ordered the lunch special, Japanese Curry with Karaage and Katsudon. They were tasty and affordable.
This place smelled proper once we entered... we had high hopes... it looked the part of a Japanese restaurant... traditional designs... clean and simple arrangement... servers greeted us promptly and tea was served properly in ceramic pot and cups... that's where the good stopped... menu was concise... that is to say it's very small and there are not many options... it's not a sushi 🍣 🍣 😞 haven... what we ordered came within seconds and was tiny portion... leads us to believe it was premade... ;(.. udon bowl was very good.. I think if you stay away from the expectation of good sushi everything else may be passable... price was ok... but after eating here we were still hungry and looking for alternatives... eel Maki was ok at best... crispy spicy salmon was not crispy... mostly spicy... good luck.. ho ho no.

Reasonable price nice service. We ordered Katsu don. It might be a lot for someone but i was so contented because i love rice. Matcha ice cream was fantastic. I really wanted rice, so I ordered katsudon. The portion was a bit large, but I ate it all because I was really hungry. It may be a bit bland, but you can season it with soy sauce on the side. The gyoza was just like that. Matcha ice cream is very delicious. The price is reasonable too. Very friendly staff🥰👍
