First time visit on recomendation. Comfy, welcoming atmosphere. Large menu selection, filled with everyday, homestyle selections. Generous portions and delicious! Very friendly wait staff. I'll definitely go back.
I definitely loved the old-fashioned diner experience. The prices are really hard to beat. I would 100% recommend the fish and chips. Moreover, the potion size is amazing. What more could one ask for?I am an Indian, so I love my food spicy, but I got no complaints eating this authentic Canadian/American food! Salt and pepper totally do the job!
John's was the first sit-down-and-order-from-a-menu restaurant my family went to, now that the restrictions are over. I couldn't wait because I've never had a bad experience or bad food at John's. Every time it's been great and I've had nearly everything on the menu, after going there for over 20 years.Highly recommended! 5 stars.
The best diner in the area. Avoid the tourist trap of Clifton Hill and get more value for your money! The fish and chips are worth the 10 min drive
Quick and friendly service. Food was brought out quickly and our coffee cups were never empty. The diner vibe was welcoming.
Shittist plave ever. No bacon vame with my order. Then she brought me raw bacon. My eggs were cold they we runber. The potatoes were not cooked at all. Toast cold and barely done. The only coffee I had was the one when i entered. Shame on you John as I heard you were cooking. The waitress was not friendly and didn't come by to top up our coffee. No tip for her. And never again
Great Service and awesome atmosphere. Great portions to price ratio.Food comes out hot and fresh. Kitchen is quick. Nice quaint looking dining area. For those coming to Niagara Falls for the First time. You have to check this place out. Washrooms are clean. Free onsite parking. No WiFi.
Excellent place to eat, very friendly staff, delicious food and good prices for the cost. Which also is good but fair. My family and I have been coming here for years. I highly recommend you try them. If you havent already.

Absolutely incredible place for dinner. Just came from having dinner there with my husband and twins. there are no words to say how amazing our experience was. Atmosphere is great, nice soft music so you don't have to scream at the people sitting next to you. Food was absolutely amazingly delicious. I had the hot beef sandwich, my husband had the fish and chips. Both portions were huge! Very good "bang for your buck". Too cheap Infact!! So glad we found this hidden gem. My new go to place when visiting Niagara falls from Muskoka!
The food and service were excellent! We live in Waterloo and would drive here just for an order of fries. We’ll definitely come back soon.
We were in the area and craving fish and chips after hiking Niagara Glen, and John's restaurant popped up. Food was decent, big portions and not too expensive.. I got the orange roughy and my dad got the fish n chip and seafood... Lots of batter and I don't think that was orange roughy as there's no way a piece thag size only cost $16.Cute cozy cafe
The service was friendly and the food was decent. It was a good experience overall. The food is just like any other breakfast place so nothing special. The service was friendly and fast which I like. Overall good place to come for a quick breakfast fix.
A great old place to enjoy a family meal. Good food good people and pleasant surroundings. Yes bots a old place but once you eat you will see why it's one of Niagara best kept secrets
