My wife and I went on a bar crawl looking for the best cocktail lounge. local came out on top by a landslide. Blaire is master mixologist and treated us to an array of concoctions of his own creation.
He was the most gracious host. The drinks were top notch. If you're looking for a nice quiet spot to have an after work cocktail. local is where it's at.

Kitchen was closed when we showed up so won’t make comments on that, but the bartender 2 star Tony was the shit. Tony made us custom cocktails and was overall just a great guy. Atmosphere was also super chill. Will be back again.

I was doing the ol' touristy thing in Niagra for one night and walked by this establishment while I was exploring the city, but made note to come back later for a drink.
Popped in to around 7p and was greeted by Amos at the bar and Marc the cook. Ordered myself a little IPA and perused their food menu. Before I settled in to my regular standbys of a snack bowl or olives, I noticed an item i'd never heard of: Creton.
Marc gave me the brief history, his interpretation of the dish, and I was sold! A gracious amount of crostinis, a pate (without the innards), mustard and pickled onions - all made in-house course! Oh yeah...I was a fan. I had like three of these over the course of the evening! Thanks Marc!
Shout out again to Amos who kept serving up drinks and made me my first negroni (as a 37-year-old I don't know why I've never it). Blair eventually took over later in the night for Amos and was also an amazing bartender, offering conversation and more bevvies.
Thanks, Local.! If I ever have a reason to be in the Niagra area, i'm popping back in!

I had a great time with Nathan, the visiting mayor and her husband from Texas (lol) and the nicest bartender I have ever met in my life. I planned on only grabbing a quick drink and leaving, cause I had plans to jump off the falls. I was delayed enough because of the amazing people I met, that the police were able to find me and I'm alive. This place may have saved my life.
