The ambience was great with a nice quiet environment to enjoy dinner while watching Niagara Falls. From the greeting to the table service all the personnel were polite and excellent. The wine selection and the menu were both very good. Our table service and food were marvelous. My wife enjoyed the Caesar salad with the crisp Sardines added. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for a marvelous meal with great ambience.

We started with the soup and Caesar salad. Both were fine but the bisque lacked depth and salad was not chilled enough. Enjoyed the Mushroom Cavateli which was fresh and flavorful. We then moved on to the Char which was a huge disappointment. Overdone, dry and the Chef needs to create a flavorful dish which does require tablespoons of salt for the dish. Nothing special about this dish. Again, overcooked and not special. Quite disappointed as we heard this place was great. Matthew was pleasant and helpful.

We looked forward to our dinner here, unfortunately we did not enjoy the mains. It started off good with the appetizers but the mains were extremely salty. It felt like I was eating salt with a spoon, my tongue was actually burning. We were 6 people and all had different things...5 of the 6 mains were unbelievably salty. For the prices they have I would expect the food to taste good. I can honestly say that I will not return to this restaurant.

This was our 3rd time in Massimo restaurant. First time we celebrated our first anniversary there and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, service was superb. So we brought our relatives with us next time and had a great experience as well. But this visit was complete disappointment! We asked for espresso and were brought something like instant coffee, instant coffee would probably taste better. We had our reservation at 8:15 and felt like we were rushed by the server to finish. She asked if we finished even though we still had food on the plate. The quality of food was poor. My husband had linguine pescatore and it was nothing like the same dish we had previous times. We were promised complimentary dessert because of our anniversary and we never were brought one. If before having this experience we recommended Massimo to all our friends and returned here again, after yesterday's dinner we won't ever come back.

Amazing view, friendly service, and the menu reads nicely but isn't executed the best, a bit of a miss unfortunately.

Sadly, disappointed. The last time we visited we couldn't get reservations so we made it a point to eat at Massimo's this time around. The food is not italian and not nearly authentic. The focaccia is dense. The calamari was super fishy and too much nonsense to make the plate look fancy. The pieces of fish, calamari and shrimp were sooo small, dry and over fried. It was gross and saturated with oil. You can. Tell it was from a frozen bag thrown in oil.The bruschetta was soggy, they didn't even toast the bread. Their take on bruschetta was not good! Calamata olives? The pasta bolognese was decent and the Cavatelli was ok, but the bacon was too fried and took away the flavour. Burnt bacon is not a good taste and the sauce was very watery, I could not finish. My son usually orders pasta but he had a chicken fingers and fries dish, he could not finish. The fries were drenched in oil and the chicken dry. We didn't even take the left over to go!! And it was $18 bucks! We would have eaten better at Wendy's. The view is nice, but the vents were blasting above us, we were frozen. The virgin Ceasar did not disappoint and was probably the best part of the entire experience. We paid over $200 and left very disappointed having spent that kind of money and the food was not to our standards. I would not recommend it and not go back! Massimo, you need to do better, especially if your name is being used to promote an Italian restaurant.

Awesome experience and spectacular view of the Niagara Falls! The food was wow! We love the in between bites to keep the appetite going. Great servers and place for family to enjoy.
