Stopped here for lunch after a quick google of sandwich shops and it did not disappoint! The staff was so incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us. Sandwiches made fresh to order and homemade soups. Not to mention the baked goods. What a GEM to stumble across
I just came from there,, I can honestly say,, I will be back for sure,, the people ,, like walking into a warm hug,,, and the food,,, out of this world,,, and I'm telling you,, if you haven't seen the little café tucked quietly in the back,, your missing out,,,
they loaded up my sub,, I mean it had more meat than most places,, and the selection is vast ,, haven't had a sub with the meat sliced off right in front of you,,,

I first discovered portage bakery in 1978 with our Italian club Leader John Catoline. Back then it was mostly Italian breads and buns and some specialty items. Today had the opportunity to introduce it to my wife Kyree and our youngest child Nicolina. My last visit was 1980.
