The cashier first let us waited for over 5 minutes standing while working on the register, without saying anything to us.

Then she told us their internet was down and could not take credit card. She asked if we have cash.

I said I only have USD and she said they would accept USD.

However, she didn't charge me the exchange rate.
Instead, she charged me the same amount in USD as in Canadian dollar!

Don't use USD in this store!

The BEST panettone I've ever had. It is second to none.
Go in and try a store made deli sandwich, 2 choices of a bun, 3 choices for meat, and 1 cheese. YUMMY 😋
Lasagna is awesome.
A great selection of meats and cheeses, some prepacked and vacuum sealed.
Huge selection of different types of breads.
I can honestly say I've never had a dessert from here, though, so no comments on the huge selection of desserts.

If you haven’t been here it has to be a must when you go to Niagara. They have everything you want from sandwiches, pizza, fresh bread, meats and pies/crumbles. The strawberry rhubarb crumble is absolutely amazing.

I love the Portage Bakery. The baked goods are wonderful. It has an Italian deli with some hot dishes, and a few tables to enjoy their wonderful food with a cappuccino!
