Great homemade food: fresh, organic, clean.
The restaurant is an old house from 1850s guys! Think about dining back in time. Sooo cool! If you love history you’ll love eating here!
Food was outstanding and there are also yummy vegan choices.
The lady of the house is beautiful in every way, great host, all veggies are from her garden and she knows to cook!
I read a review here complaining about seeing her feeding the cats outside on her front porch.
Well, Good For Her! Bravo 👏
I hope you the one who didn’t like it, one day will find some compassion inside yourself to feed others too!
Once again: very clean place and great homemade food!

Beautiful, special, and memorable dining experience. Highly recommended to call in advance and make a reservation -- this is not a standard commercial restaurant, but an individual's labour of love, which you taste with every bite and feel with every bit of care in the service. We passed by on what we thought would be the opening hours based on the advertised information, and found it to be already closed. We simply called to make a reservation for the following day, and the owner kindly opened up on a day that she normally doesn't open to serve us. We had the place to ourselves, and felt individual care and attention to detail with every interaction. It is one woman who owns, operates, cooks, and prepares the drinks all by herself, and she is an exceptional cook and warm and remarkable person.
So, expect a slow but personalized and cared-for experience. It is quite expensive, but compared to the majority of restaurants in Niagara Falls that cost the time but serve the same mediocre generic food and drink, here you get what you pay for. Thoughtful dishes and organic vegetables grown in their garden.
My wife is gluten-free and I am vegan and we appreciated the delicious options available to us. We both have Central/Eastern European roots and so the food reminded us of what our grandmothers used to make, with all of the home-made care, but also the exceptional craft of a true chef.

Quite disappointing. The placed is dated as mentioned in other reviews, but that was expected . The food was very mediocre, with the exception of the sour dough garlic bread, and expensive.

I can't understand anything less than 5 stars for this place. People sure are miserable. This is like going to Gramma's house! Everything, literally EVERYTHING is made fresh by this extremely talented woman! ❤️ A real treat!

Went here for my birthday dinner, this place is such a gem! It really feels like you're walking into a restaurant (or someone's house) in Central Europe. It was such a personable, cozy dining experience. The food was delicious and fresh (I really appreciated the vegetarian menu options) and the owner/cook/server grows much of it in her own garden. She was such a lovely person with very much an Eastern European attitude in the best way (if you've ever travelled to Central/Eastern Europe, you'll understand). Super authentic food and experience, we really enjoyed it!
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian goulash was fantastic

Expect german food, would not consider this place. Owner does not consider that “the customer is always right”.
Do you have gravy, “I would not serve you packaged gravy”. Well make homemade!
Do you have Lemons, “No, it does not complement my dish”!
Dang, I like gravy and Lemons, why would she school me to what my tastes are.
Food decent but bland, gravy or lemon would have helped. Was scared to ask for salt or pepper!
Good luck to her, but not for me!
Wheelchair accessibility: None……. Showed up with a walked to fold it up and climb steps!
Food was ok, but overpriced

Loved everything about this restaurant! The decor and food made me feel like I was back in Eastern Europe. Not outdated as some said- this looks like the typical restaurant in Czech or Germany. Definitely the most authentic experience I've had. The food is all homemade and delicious! It was so nice to find a place that had real options for someone with food allergies (dairy and egg). The service was great, as well, with the owner cooking, tending bar, and serving. The food is not cheap here, but the price is similar to restaurants in the more touristy part of town and it is a lot higher quality. We would definitely return here.

The experience is really nice. You are literally in the past. The food was I very tasty you can feel traditions and home made for a kindly chef. Also I found Alchocha (caigua Peruana) the best!

Enjoyed a delicious meal for a special celebration this past week. Owner (Jamilla?) is friendly and hard-working, and you'll appreciate the fresh seasonings and produce she grows in her garden out back—especially if you're tired of overly salted restaurant food that's typical in our area.As other reviewers have stated, this is a far-from-modernized restaurant in a circa 1850 building, but that just added to the ambience for us. We were also the only party dining that night, but it just felt like we were over for dinner with a friend! This is not a cheap night out, but we felt that the quality of fresh ingredients made the price acceptable. We'll be back!

Lovely place! The owner is very friendly and told us a bit about how she got started. She grows all of her own vegetables and herbs and does all of the cooking and serving. Small, intimate space and the food is so flavourful! She has an entire vegan page on the menu. Really enjoyed my dining experience here!
