I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this establishment was disappointing enough to warrant one.
Upon arrival, we were surprised by the owner’s dismissive and rude demeanor. It appeared he was handling multiple roles - bartending, cooking, and serving - which may explain being overwhelmed, but does not excuse how he spoke to us.

When we asked what was on draft, we were told bluntly, “nothing.” When we inquired further about beer options, his only response was, “look at the menu” delivered with visible irritation. The tone and attitude were unwelcoming and unprofessional, to the point that we felt compelled to leave without ordering.

It’s unfortunate, as we had heard good things about the food. However, the service and atmosphere left such a negative impression that I can’t imagine returning or recommending the place. Hospitality should never take a backseat, no matter how busy.

Found this place driving back to the campsite. Great location, nice place but not many there for a Thursday night at 6 pm. Bar tender says getting rid of draft beer and seemed to have attitude about everything, food was good! beer was cold! I don't go to bars for bottles of beer because I got that in my refrigerator, I need draft beer and a choice to try. Good luck with that. Sad because it could be so much more.

Music was so loud we couldn't speak to each other..food was Luke warm..we were the only people in the restaurant and we didn't get any service. Please.save your money and don't go

Excellent food at reasonable prices!

We ordered takeout and the food was SO GOOD!!! Service made me feel like I was at a great friends place!!! This is my new favourite place!!!!

Stopped in for beer and wings , always thought this was a sweet spot along the river. Place was clean inside , nice decor , and the wings were really great for $13 a pound. Will be back

Been going to the riverside for many MANY years, the previous owner was a friend and I’ve known the new one for 25 years, throughout the years the look has changed many times inside and out, but the food, the service, staff have remained consistently awesome! I love the new look and new menu as well, and the atmosphere can’t be beat.

mozzarella sticks were awesome, nice, large , and well breaded. WTF burger beef patty was nice round size and juicy, Mac and cheese was nice and creamy all homemade in-house. Will be back.

We were visiting Niagara Falls and came across Riverside Tavern. Had one of the best burgers ever. The owner is a great guy. Will definitely come back.

What a great spot! Especially if you can sit outside and watch the river go by. We're locals & stumbled on this place randomly. We were super impressed with the food - cozy, comfort food with a homemade gourmet flare (Turkey Brie Clubhouse was a hit). We're trying to figure out if we can paddle/boat here. Great lil destination when you're out and about?
