Really great ice cream. Terrible service. 35 minutes in line, 10 minutes standing at the counter watching a bunch of disorganized confused teens wander around, and a vehicle payment later, i received a significantly under-filled cone with mini scoops of ice cream. But I was too tired and frustrated to bother complaining. Not what o remember from 40 years of going there. Sad to say it because I grew up going to Avondale, but go get some Kawartha Dairy ice cream.

Delicious but very pricey 26+ for two double scoop wafflecones.

Don't go here..what a rip-off.For one, it's extremely expensive. I bought 2 two-scoop cones and it was almost $30. That's $7 per scoop, and the scoop sizes are seriously small. Not just that, they actually weigh your ice cream to charge you. How stingy. This isn't fancy or artisan ice cream. It's bulk and basic. These are basic ice cream flavours you can find anywhere really.Second, quality control didn't seem great. My cookiedough ice cream was freezer burnt and the Kahlua fudge was flavorless. And these were the "most popular" flavors. They must have been sitting for a while. This isn't quality ice cream. They add so many mixins that you don't get much real ice cream either. They have lots of flavor options but, no reason to come out of your way for this place.I feel bad for Niagara region diners, they must not have ever had good ice cream.. how else can they give this place a 4.6 avg rating and line up around the plaza for it? I've been to ice cream stores all around the province, this was one of the worst yet most expensive.

They have cut back on the serving size and toppings. Used to be THE place to go, but for sure this year they'll have to compete with Baskin-Robbins. My whole family could eat the ice cream before without any issues but can no longer do that, so we are wondering if they changed their ingredients?Edit: We went last week, and now they have returned the serving size.Kid-friendliness: They have swings, place to run, and outdoor picnic tables.

Way .. way .. over priced 10$ for a milkshake ..WOW .....for the History that it has and for such a big name , you would think you didn't have to take a loan out for a family ice-cream treat ...Come on lower the prices so we all can enjoy, the BIGGEST TURN OFF when the young lady took a small little SCOOP of ice-cream OUT of my glass because it was over the scale wait , are you kidding me !!!!!!! . Don't waste your time and your last weeks pay , just to have some ice cream go to basics and get a gallon for 3:49 ... never again

Catharines! This ain't your average ice cream joint. We're talkin' four generations of family churnin' out fresh, small-batch scoops since 1955. Imagine that - creamy, dreamy goodness made right on-site! Their flavors are out-of-this-world, and they even got classics like banana split, mint, and choco brownie to satisfy your inner child. Plus, the vibes are pure nostalgia - a down-home spot with farm views and swings for the little adventurers. This is a must-stop for any Niagara adventure, so grab a napkin and get ready to dive in!Vegetarian options: Great dairy products.

Opened the door to go inside and was stopped and told I had to wait, as a couple who stepped in front of me were allowed to enter. There was no line, but I was told to wait for just a minute. Another group of people got out of a car and went to the door, opened it and were allowed to enter and again I was told I had to wait. No explanation was given. They should put up a sign telling us who their preferred customers are, so those of us who don't fit in, won't have to waste our time.

The best place for ice cream in Niagara. Retro vibes with good service that reminds you of the good old times. The frozen yogurts are good too. Recommend the coffee toffee crunch frozen yogurt. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors.
