This was our first experience with fine dine in Ontario. The experience was great! The food was superbly prepared, presented so neatly & the ambience was really nice! Must visit if you’re bored of NOTL vineyards.

Get off the main strip and try this hidden spot just a short walk from the main street and hotels. Staff is very well trained and professional. We sat at the chefs counter and got to watch them cook up all the delicious food over wood fire. We had 2 apps, mains and dessert. Every bite of every dish was amazing. Grilled octopus was cooked very well and I know that's not easy.One thing we would have appreciated was a proper steak knife for the veal. We were told the table knife (like all other table knives), was slightly serrated and would work but we struggled to cut through a hunk of meat with it. Very cute cutlery though, other customers were so admiring it like we were.

This one is a hidden gem in Niagara on the lake area. The servers were warm and very kind. We ordered calamari, ruffino pizza, and "not your average" chicken parmigiano for our late lunch. It was true lol. There are something special about the chicken and the pizza. The chicken was very tender and juicy inside while they were able to keep just right krispyness outside. They use authentic pasta noodle and sauce I really enjoyed its taste. My son really liked their pizza and my wife loved the calamari sauce. This corner Italian restaurant has just become my go to place in Niagara on the lake area. Two thumbs up!

Saw this restaurant while we were driving, stopped because it had a wood oven. Pizza was amazing!!! Loved the garden salad, fresh from their garden and the gelato was great!

Now called Ruffino's. The owner changed the concept, name, everything on 6/1/2020. However, I had purchased $1000 of gift cards to Backhouse in Dec 2019 that were "good forever, no expiration". Now, Ryan Crawford, refuses to refund my money. "The cards are good at Ruffino's". So what? I bought gift card for the Backhouse experience. I was willing to give Ruffino's a shot until Ryan decided to back out on his word to refund my gift cards.

Perhaps one of the best dining experiences we have had. Great atmosphere and so much fun to feel a part of the entire process. Sit at the bar and order one of the multi-course meals with wine pairings. So much fun and delicious. Pricey, but worth it.

Did the chefs pairing everything was amazing, highly recommend this place. The wine choices were local and easy to pick up for later. The dinner bill at the end of the day was around 300. But worth every penny.
