We celebrated my recent birthday here at the Ravine. A night to remember. We had 24 guests and we reserved the wine cellar with Abby Wood. The planning was meticulous. And on the night, everything went smoothly and professionally with the help of Hayley and Dominic. The food was divine. The setting and ambience made it like a big family dinner. Everyone had a great time. Thanks to the team at Ravine.

This review is overdue. We loved the vibe at this vineyard. There are multiple great outdoor seating setups. We opted for a flight wine sampling with a warm loaf of sourdough bread loaded with black olives, along with a charcuterie board that also had some great preserves also. We purchased a great bottle of Rose', Chardonnay, and dry sparkling Rose'. Niagara on the Lake is a great daytrip for Spring, summer, and fall.

Reviews deeply divided! Why? Ok, first of all, let's get this straight. 5 stars for those beautiful big reds that keep luring us back regardless of the, yes it's true, somewhat, er, "enthusiastic" pricing. But they ARE good, and local, and made with care. So, yes: I'm willing to pay for what they are clearly getting right. So far so good, but what's up with all of those 1 and 2 star reviews? Seriously, they are dragging down the overall score... a lot!! Answer: the restaurant. Honestly, Ravine's winemaker has got to draw the line and demand that the winery separate itself from the food operations. It's not like everyone has a bad experience at the restaurant, but look at the reviews and you'll see that the odds are 10:1 that a 1- or 2 star review details a tale of woe and mistreatment by the restaurant.Ravine, your wines are too good to let your hit-and-miss food service drag you down like this. Let your guests know that they can review each location separately on Maps or Yelp or whatever.Save the winery!

Andrea was amazing and introduced us to so many new favourites. She was so knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. So happy we stopped by!

Attended the 2024 Spirit of Niagara-on-the-Lake Awards hosted by Ravine. Such a wonderful event and beautifully staged and catered.Wonderful winery, farm, restaurant and small grocery store!! I managed to find one of their baker's incredible sourdough loaves (olives) before they were all gone. And today we even chanced on a local craft market on the winery patio!

A nice winery and restaurant in the Niagra region. We had heard great things about Ravine so we booked a tasting and checked it out, we had a lovely time. They have a very large wine selection and the pours for the flights are larger than most other places we have been too. The service was excellent and our gal who helped us with our tasting was probably the best I've ever experienced at a winery. They have less sweet wines and no ice wines which are more to my taste but wine connoisseurs will probably enjoy the range of semi dry to dry wines. They also have some very dry ciders that are nice. I would say this was the most traditional winery in Canada we've been too.Great charcuterie board for the wine as well.Recommended for anyone but highly recommended for wine enthusiasts.

We had the most amazing time at the ravine vineyard. we had a great wine tasting and then went to the restaurant for lunch. Sue was fantastic! We also had the BEST experience with Alex, the bartender. Thank you for making our time so memorable

I love Ravine, their wine and restaurant food never disappoints. No matter what you order, it is going to be delicious, and atmosphere is the perfect cozy space for a winters night with friends. We have been gathering here every year for the last decade.I would normally give a 5 star, however this year’s visit was a dinner meeting point with friends from all over Ontario and the USA. Unfortunately they were unable to allow the 9 of us to sit at one table. We were told it was strictly because the kitchen cannot execute more than 8 dinners together. After telling them we were completely fine with our meals coming out at different times, or still treating our orders as two separate tables while we all sat together. The manager would still not allow us to sit together, so 3 were forced to sit at a table behind us. It was just an unfortunate part to our night with lack of accommodation on a single staff member of Ravine’s part. We’ll definitely rethink returning with our group for next time.

What an incredible experience. The tasting room was warm and inviting. Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with all their wines!! Ben was our expert sommelier for the day! He even explained to us what a sommelier is! His expertise and education actually makes Ben much more than a job title. Not only did he know every answer to every one of our questions but he was gracious, patient and kind. I felt truly taken care of!! I went home with a bottle of Patricia’s Block, the off-dry Riesling. It was my absolute favourite and so delicious. We tried small batch wines as well as experimental wines and everything was really unique but comfortingly familiar. 10 out of 10 would recommend. You get four 5 ounce tastings but the list is much longer than that! Will have to be back to try them all— but would return for the service, the family feel and the beautiful teddy bear dog Tucker!!! Thank you so much Ravine Winery for the unforgettable experience!!!!

Oops, I did it again...Visited another winery and was so pleased with the wines, the setting, the atmosphere, and the service that we've joined another wine club!Setting out this past Wednesday, Ravine Vineyard was not even on our itinerary. In fact, we hadn't even known of it. Coming into St. David's, we stopped on a whim when we saw the sign and realized it was new to us.I've said in other reviews that I'm becoming a fan of winter weekday winery visits. You miss the crowds and have lots of time to visit with the staff. Our host Paul was very kind. Ravine was our last stop of the day, and our plan was to share a flight and head for home.Tasting our shared flight, chatting with Paul, and exploring the grounds led almost inevitably to considering the wine club membership. In addition to the tasting and retail space, Ravine has a restaurant and a separate event space. The benefits of the club (and Paul!) were very persuasive - wine, of course, events, complimentary tastings for members and guests, and more. Persuasive as well was that the December wine shipment was packed and available for us to take right then and there and that by joining our flights were complimentary. Yes, flights (again, thanks Paul) rather than the shared flight we came for - membership has its benefits. All the wines we tried on this first (of what will be many) visit were good and some outstanding. We're planning a return trip in a couple of weeks, with some family to try even more of Ravine's offerings.St. David's and Ravine will be a regular feature of the upcoming summer for us. I'm hoping for many sunny patio days!
