Was seated by host. Sat for 20 minutes, was not busy. Was not approached by wait staff once while people around us who arrived later were fully served. Walked out. Also overpriced. Tasting was 5x cost of other local vineyards
Incredible wine! One oft faves in the Niagara region. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable, and the ambiance is really nice. You're right at the vineyard, taking in that view on comfy couches while sipping yummy red wine. Can't go wrong!
One of my favourite vineyards with an amazing selection of wine! Thank you for the hospitality!
We had a lovely time at Stratus. Fiona was our sommelier and was as pleasant and friendly as could be. She was very knowledgeable and we had an amazing experience with her.
I rarely leave reviews, but this was one of those special moments you know you’ll always cherish. We visited on Saturday for a tour and tasting, but got stuck in a long and unexpected traffic jam. The team was incredibly understanding and kindly waited for us.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and introduced to our guide, Francisco, and from that moment, he transformed what we thought might be a repetitive, average tour into an amazing, memorable experience!
My in-laws were visiting from Colombia and were a bit worried about the language barrier, as they’re passionate wine lovers who have traveled to many vineyards around the world. Francisco’s knowledge and warmth quickly won them over, impressing them and turning this into an educational and engaging journey.
We were also blown away by the quality of the wines, and we’ll definitely be ordering more to enjoy during the holidays and special celebrations! Francisco went above and beyond, taking more time than scheduled to give us a full tour and teach us about the vineyard’s specialty wines in a way that made us truly appreciate them.
By the end, we were all so happy, and even my in-laws’ high expectations were exceeded. Thank you for having us, and we’ll absolutely be back!
We booked a tasting today for 3 and brought our daughter with us and were seated at the high top bar. When we said it wouldn’t be possible with our 1 year old daughter, we asked if instead we could sit outside at one of the 13 available tables. The host rolled his eyes and said he’d look into it. Instead he tried to seat us at the huge tasting table inside a private room. We politely asked why outside wasn’t possible and he replied it was for dining only (the website currently says tastings can be done inside and on terrace).
We said we were happy to order food if that was the case, and he quickly replied no it’s full.
We’ve been here several times and received exceptional service and this was the complete opposite experience. We left, got a refund and went to another winery that was able to accommodate us. As someone who worked in fine dining hospitality for years, this felt very much like a strange power play. The staff was rude, talking about us within earshot and had no interest in trying to accommodate us. To say the experience was disappointing would be a gross understatement.
We had a such a great experience with Francisco. So knowledgeable, polite and friendly! We will be back 100%!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
Was here on a wine tour on a bachelorette trip a few weeks ago, got there right as they opened for our first stop and basically had the whole place to ourselves. Had the sweetest lady as our server complimenting our bags and asking questions about the wedding, etc. very knowledgeable about the wine and happy to take group pictures and chat with the crew.
Beautiful outdoor seating and vineyard!
We did a wine tasting with Alan and it was great! He was really friendly and funny, and we enjoyed the wines we tried, including the Library reserve white and the Stratus Red (white label version).
Amazing waiter. I think his name was Peter, only works Tuesdays and he was fabulous! Came for our 25th wedding anniversary and he was knowledgeable, friendly and went the extra to make us thoroughly enjoy our experience.

Truly exceptional experience. Worth the visit and the price. Their organic wines are top notch.
This was one of my favorite wineries in NotL. It's set on 55 acres of vineyards, and has a beautiful outdoor tasting area with plenty of shade. Our host was Patrick, and he made the experience go from an average wine tasting to a personalized experience that blew away every other tasting we did. The wines are good, the staff are knowledgeable, and we would 100% return.
Strongly recommend the Wine tasting. I had their 2007 white and was absolutely divine. So is their ice wine.
I’ve been to many wine tasting and a truly believe Stratus is a true hidden gem worth exploring. Compare to Niagara’s flagship winery I would go to Stratus again. I may say that the other wineries are somewhat locate between strong commercial producers with scale and small luxurious wineries experience. Stratus would more locate as a somewhat smaller winery that do not shy away from exploring novel/unconventional methods and obtain great quality with, somewhat, reasonable prices (relative to the luxurious wineries).
Amazing tasting experience. Our guest Benoit give us an exceptional and personal service. The wine is amazing.
Just tried a couple wine flights there, first time trying that. The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Benoit was a real star, and guided us through the 11 different wines we sampled, including introducing us to some new types I never thought I'd like. I normally can't stand Merlot, but the Merlots here that he brought us were amazing. Had to buy some bottles. It's a beautiful winery with a very classy contemporary look. Definitely became a favorite, quickly. Highly recommended.
