The Epicurean offers a stunning patio, delicious food, and exceptional service. The outside patio ambience is enjoyed by many, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent guidance on gluten-free options. Generous portions are served, and the atmosphere is chic and welcoming to families. The restaurant has recently been updated, and the food, including popular items like the salmon dinner and the crab cakes appetizer, is top-notch. Guests have noted the deliciousness of the sandwiches, such as the peameal sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. The restaurant is also praised for its fish & chips, and the best latte ever.
The staff's kindness was evident when they graciously changed seating reservations to accommodate older members of a party, showing their care and understanding. The quality of the food remains very good, and the service is excellent. It was described as the perfect place to celebrate special occasions, like a 5th anniversary, with many recommending it for visitors to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
A variety of dishes are enjoyed here, from back bacon on a bun with fries and a salad to salads with raspberry vinaigrette that taste like real fruit. The menu offers options for vegetarians, including beet salad and rigatoni pasta with garlic bread, served family style with separate plates. The inside aesthetic is great, and the patio out back is beautiful and nicely shaded by a large tree. The food was delicious, service very fast, professional, and friendly, making it worth going back to.
Guests have praised the attentive and humorous staff, especially one waiter named Philip, who helped with recommendations and made the experience enjoyable. The entire experience was perfect, and many strongly recommend this restaurant, especially sitting in Philip’s section. Visitors on late-night visits enjoyed dishes like mushrooms risotto, French onion soup, and lentil soup, accompanied by great wine and service. Overall, The Epicurean continues to be a favorite spot for delicious meals and memorable experiences.
