The Grist - Craft Kitchen & Brewery

Wow, wow wow is all I could say about my experience today at the grist. I took a client in to thank her for her business for lunch to this hell hole.. She's been on chemotherapy and it's been hard to get her out and she doesn't feel well often.We both ordered our drinks. I had a glass of wine. She was just drinking water and we ordered our lunch a few minutes later. The manager came over and asked us to leave and told me I wasn't welcome in the restaurant that somebody that worked there didn't want me in the place, I said what are you talking about? I thought that it was something out of the twilight zone! I am a 65-year-old , 34 year in business entrepreneur. I have a lot of class and this man was making me feel like a criminal. He was getting angrier because I was questioning him why was I being asked to leave. I thought he was threatening, so I proceeded to get up and told my client we had to go. I said to her I don't know what he's talking about, or who he's talking about, he then said it was about my dog, and I realized that it was a girl whose dog got loose and attacked our beautiful Canadian champion all time winning Shar-pri 🎱. her dog ripped my dog's face off we had to take a lawsuit to get compensation for all the medical costs. She wouldn't tell us where she lived nor would she contact us. So the manager was willing to lose future customers to a criminal! Not only was my client there to witness my colleague on the Rotary was also witnessing everything at a table beside us ,with a friend of hers and wanted to know what was going on. So I will be proceeding to do a lawsuit against the establishment.

Chill place with a cool vibe. Beer, Food and Service were all top notch.

Pretty unfortunate experience, originally they said they would give us a gift card for the uncooked fish and chips and hour long wait after forgetting about my pick up order, when I went to collect the gift card they said they have no record of this occurrence.

Basic pub food dressed up with nice decor. Came here as a group of 4 and enjoyed the atmosphere but the food was just ok. Had the smash burger, which was uninspiring in both its presentation and taste (run of the mill grocery store bun, over salted fries, basic toppings), as well as a steak sandwich which overwhelmingly tasted like cheese and sauce. Overall, would rather just spend a bit more for higher quality somewhere else in Niagara Ontario The Lake.

Great Whitehouse pizza, crust was fantastic as were toppings with Arugula and balsamic glaze. Best calamari I have had, almost ever! Great atmosphere and service!

Excellent place bring a date or have a nice meal with someone. I came with a party of people. The food was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable. I did find it a bit loud to hear a conversation. This is a place to go and try. I'll be back for another meal.

Fun microbrewery with fresh food. Was recommended by a local. Definitely worth a visit.

A well kept "secret" hang out in St David's! Everyone passes through here after work on Fridays, hangs out on Saturday/Sunday it is always busy with the opportunity of making new and old connections!

The owners are phenomenal - staff are friendly even on extremely busy days when service can be slower than usual.

A must the calamari - you can create your own pizza which can be very pricey if you can't limit yourself to a few toppings (but if budget is not a limit) ANY creation will be delicious and worth it.

It is not your regular home "pub" it is a place to connect and enjoy anytime any season and a must visit!

Fantastic food.....sometimes bit of a wait but thats the price for fantastic food I guess
