I visited St. Phillips Bakery in Nobleton for brunch with a few friends. The atmosphere was welcoming with a nice modern touch, and there were plenty of food options to choose from.

I ordered the chicken Parmesan with arancini, which looked great but, unfortunately, was cold and lacked flavor—pretty underwhelming. Later, I tried a cannoli and a latte, which were decent but nothing special—something I could get anywhere.

Service was fine; the staff was attentive and cleared our plates when we were done. Overall, an okay experience, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.

Proof looks can be deceiving. The space is beautiful but hospitality, customer service and food is much to be desired.

Asked for help to purchase pastries and the staff didn't know the products. Bought some items and bit into them and the flavours were different than explained.

Running a bustling place of this size is hard so minor mistakes can be forgiven. But what can't be forgiven is their focaccia - chewy, overdone and flattened. The bread is not fresh which is a huge faux pas for a bakery. One bite takes 1 minute to swallow. On the positive it's a great workout for my jaw. Have tried twice and still the same.

As a French bakery is judged by their baguette and croissant an Italian bakery must figure out their focaccia.

Although it is a beautiful cafe with many many options, there was only 1 person on the bar making drinks and she was clearly stressed and overwhelmed, i felt so bad for her :( i hope to see another bar tender helping out next time i visit! Service was a 10 but this factor really made me question management especially with it being pretty busy in there :)

I am not one to write reviews but this seems necessary. I was in the Nobelton location a week ago, I purchased from the hot plate $90 worth of food. Staff was all younger employees, chatting amongst themselves and non attentive to customer. Very unpleasant. When I got home, I noticed they forgot to bag some of my food. A week later I visited the same location and asked for them to make sure they fill the container as I paid for it last week and didn't receive it. Non expressive, no conversation, very unpleasant experience. Two guys and 2 girls, no one was in line in front or behind me, this purchased took over 30 minutes to finish. Then when I asked for the receipt, I realized I was double charged for my food. I also bought cold deli meat and when I opened it at home, I was shocked. Here is a picture of the deli meat I was served. I will not give this location a third try. I contacted the owner with no response. Very unfortunate for such a nice location to have such horrible employees with horrible work ethic serving subpar food.

I ordered a cake for my daughters 7th birthday for February 1st and it was disappointing, I've been getting cakes from st. Philips for the last 5 years years for both my daughter and son and this was by far the worst cake ever made, I don't know if its just the location but somebody screwed up and they are lazy, i got a kuromi cake my daughter wanted as an edible image and the image came out way too dark, I've had numerous edible cakes made before and the colors have always come out amazing, I ordered this cake from them and I also asked for half vanilla, half chocolate, then a day later I get a phone call saying they can't they can't do half and half and I have to pick only one flavor, mind you I've always and I mean ALWAYS have done half and half and never any issues. So after arguing I said ok fine do vanilla then. So February 1st I pick up the cake we have my daughters party and firstly we couldn't even cut into it like it was fresh or the texture sucked and Secondly I had told everyone there it was vanilla and there's so much freaked chocolate in it that some of the kids could not even eat it, first they can't do both flavors, lazy, then second added it and enbaressed me. I called to complain a day later when they were open and got told to email this email with pictures of the cake etc, to try getting at least half of my moms money back becuase it was a gift for her granddaughter so she wanted to buy the cake for her, and till this day almost end of February now, I haven't heard back, please save you money and go elsewhere because these people and whoever the owner is do not care about customers service, I work in aviation and trust me this is not customer service. I will post the cake of my daughter and the color it was suppose to be and what it came out to be instead which is ugly, and ill post a past one from my sons cake and how it came out, both edible. To me they were lazy and didn't take pride in the cake. Normally I dont want wrote reviews but this is unacceptable.

Attention to the manager in this location!
Please let your employees know who are serving all types of sandwiches for the customers.
A guy who was cleaning the floor, he left the broom somewhere to serve the customer for the sandwich , he picked it up directly with his hands to warm up in the oven.
This is absolutely disgusting .
It's very simple:
- wearing gloves every time they serve
- Using any grilling tongs
Finally, make sure to wash the hands every time before serving .

Disappointing Customer Service

I recently visited this place, and unfortunately, the staff behavior was far from welcoming. A particular group of female staff members were acting very unprofessional and weird, making the whole experience uncomfortable. Instead of being helpful and courteous, they seemed more interested in chatting among themselves and giving off an unapproachable attitude. It’s disappointing when customer service is lacking, especially in a place where hospitality should be a priority. Definitely not the experience I was expecting!

I’d give zero stars based on the service at the coffee counter. The girl checking me out was frustrated.
I ordered two espressos and a bombolone. She made the espressos in to-go cups, and when I told her they were for here, she angrily poured them into ceramic cups, making a mess and handled them to me all messy. She then forgot my bombolone and almost charged me again. When I reminded her I had already paid and asked if she could cut it in half, she just said no, handed me a knife, and walked away.
I’m always polite and understanding—I worked in an Italian café for eight years, so I get it. But this wasn’t a busy moment, and a little customer service goes a long way.

I visited for the first time tonight, and I must say one of the staff at the coffee bar — looks to be college age/early 20s, dark hair — has the nastiest attitude. No smile. Stone faced. I caught her passive aggressive replies when I asked for a box and a paper bag. And the only reason why I didn’t confront her is because she’s likely at least a decade younger than me and she might’ve though she and I were around the same age because I look much younger than I am. Not cute.

Ordered lasagna from here and was given incorrect instructions on how long to cook, so we were more than 2 hours late to our function…horrible experience. Sadly, will not purchase from St.Philips again.

Food and venue are very nice. Music not appropriate for a morning breakfast with friends (too loud and not relaxing).

This place used to be great, I had given it a very positive review 2 years ago, but it has gone downhill. The service is terrible. There are always so many staff just standing around chatting and look visibly annoyed when you ask to be served. Constantly forgotten about at your table. This has happened on every visit recently. The value of the food has decreased as well, many things are quite overpriced. Unfortunately will not be coming here often anymore.

Great place for some coffee and pastries.
Has a variety of sandwiches and hot plate options.
Fairly busy place on the weekends
Not a lot of seating options. You might have to stand for awhile.
Overall a good place to have lunch with family and friends.
