My parents had a lovely Valentine’s Day supper with fabulous service from Makenna they had a view of the lake and the food was amazing they were so full and the desert the brought home was delicious my parents were so impressed and all they could talk about. Considering how busy it was the service was extremely fast!

I am disabled, with extreme sound sensitivities. Reserved a spot on V-day away from the center of the room. Lost my spot as we were 15 min late. The food was mediocre at best, with my burger buns being a mushy mess and my wife's pickerel dry. Our server ignored my requests to relocate us away from the center of the floor, with me again pointing out my disability. Throughout our entire dinner, there was an open table, that would have respected my disability.
We ended up leaving without eating our meals, instead taking them and leaving as I could no longer tolerate being surrounded by that level of noise.
Our server was ridiculously slow, with us waiting almost 40 min for take out containers and the bill. Which I eventually had to go approach another server for.
Extremely disappointed. It is difficult enough for me being disabled to go to this type of place, something my wife so looked forward to, only to be ignored, and given horrible service.

After having such a fantastic experience at our company Christmas party at Average Joes this year, my wife Donna and I decided to share Valentines Day dinner there. They featured a 4 course dinner with many options to choose from. We had reserved a table about a week before but were told it would have to be downstairs which we thought was fine, however, when we arrived right at 7pm, there was a table available to us on the main floor: ironically, it was the table that we had 13 years ago for our first wedding anniversary! The place was jumpin' but our waitress Karin was right there to greet us and pour us glasses of water and let us know ALL the specials not just the 4 course dinner. We chose the 4 course as it looked very interesting, but before we got to the dinner part, we ordered drinks and myself being a fan of James Bond and finally having a cocktail instead of just a beer, ordered a Vesper martini which is NOT on the menu. Olivia at the bar made it for me and it was fantastic! Donna's drink the Frozen Lobster was equally fantastic. Our starters were served right away! As soon as we were done we were served our appetizers (duck wings) which were the best I've ever had! Karin continued to make sure we were happy with everything. Then our main courses arrived: Donna had the triple jumbo shrimp stuffed with lobster cream which looked more like small lobster tails than shrimp and they were decadent! I had the filet mignon which was just superb! For dessert I had the chocolate cake and Donna the toffee cheesecake and were were absolutely satisfied!
We both agreed that this dinner rivaled our experience at a fine dining restaurant in Norway called Mirabel but at much more reasonable pricing.
Chef Tom's mastery in the kitchen really shone through! All the staff had smiles and seemed at ease even though the place was packed! Our server Karin was so attentive that we felt like she was our private server even though she was juggling several other tables.
There seems to have been a big change with things since Jamie took over the restaurant and in a good way! The selection, service and pricing all add up to a fantastic dining experience that has to be seen to be believed! We are already making plans to go back for our 14th wedding anniversary in April.
