We have frequently over 50 different ayce sushi restos over 17 years. Nearly ALL have been more than courteous and creative, in allowing ON MENU 'additions' based on our plant based diet. We only eat fresh veggie and fruit sushi, maki and hand rolls. When you charge $101 for 2 people at dinner who eat a fraction of your ayce offerings, being told NO to avocado sushi pieces without paying an upcharge is BEYOND greedy. Citing that it slows down the chef's is also, BEYOND comprenshion. Stuffing handrolls so full of rice that the nori is soggy even before it arrives, in the hope's that your customer will stop ordering them is BEYOND disapointing and goes against the ayce model.
Despite the rice being delicious and consistent, and the produce also being fresh - we will no longer frequent this establishment. We could have been weekly guests to your business, instead we view your operational manor to be greedy, lacking sincere customer service and general common sense.

It’s always a pleasure going to eat at beyond sushi. Their fish is fresh, not too much rice for nigiri, and they have a wide variety of side dishes. My husband and I enjoy their miso soup, the best we’ve had here! Salmon is a must!

I was up visiting my son and he recommended this place. I should have asked questions and would have if someone was ever around or visited our table to check in. I didn’t know why there were no prices on the menu. No indication if something is vegetarian or not. The tablet was not user friendly. We looked at the menu online before going in and there were a ton of veggie options I was looking forward to trying. But I could not locate them on the tablet. The tablets search function did not work. We ordered two rolls. I was confused why only one spring roll and one chicken ball came out for our appetizers. I told the woman who brought us our food that I was wanting a spring roll as well and didn’t know the order only came with one. This is NOT how sushi places do it in southern Ontario. I was SHOCKED when I got our bill and it came to $83!!! I paid and we left. But I didn’t feel right. Went back in. Expressed my disappointment. Then this Don guy says it’s all you can eat!!! pardon?! Where is the sign that explains this?! I’m just suppose to have enough common sense to know?! At this point, I was getting teary eyed and my voice was shaking. Both me and my son are neurodivergent. I thought I didn’t understand their process because of my disability. Don left to “speak to the manager to see what they can do”. In that time, several other patrons shared with me it’s not just us that didn’t understand. That this exact thing happened to them their first visit. That this place is KNOWN to not be upfront with their customers. Much like everyone else, I am struggling to get by. I live on disability and need to watch my finances carefully. That being said, I should not have ordered off a menu that did not have prices. Don came back and gave me a voucher for one all you can eat dinner. The only person that is going to benefit from that voucher is my ex husband if he takes my son here, as I do not live here and do not come up often. This business should be ashamed of themselves. They need to improve their business model. They are not honest and transparent. They are the equivalent to CROOKS. They STOLE from a mentally disabled woman. This restaurant is not at all neurodivergent friendly. It’s not even neurotypical friendly, as it turns out. They have a responsibility to the public to be honest about their procedures. Not just drop a tablet off at someone’s table and abandon them. Also, I never got the extra spring roll I ordered. But it turns out I was to order it through the tablet. So instead of the woman saying I need to order it through the tablet, she just told me “ok”. Im honestly so furious. I will also be contacting the BBB today because there were several consumer rules broken here. I should have got a full refund. I will be dedicated to spreading the word about this place for a while. JUST DESPICABLE. No morals or values or integrity from these people.

We ordered it to go. We went straight to the restaurant and then home. The sushi and maki rolls were good but the vegetable tempura mix was awful! It was greasy, flavourless and not cooked all the way through. And then some pieces were burnt. Considering the amount paid I expected it all to be good and not edible vs inedible.

Another amazing lunch at Beyond Sushi. Welcomed by staff regulars Don and Janet who are always so friendly to everyone who comes into the restaurant. They are both very attentive to the customer's needs. The food was perfectly fresh and delicious. Today I chose a lot of Sushi rather than mixing it up as it felt like a Sushi Day. The rice was delicious with the perfect stickiness under a generous piece of fish. Will of course be going back to visit this location again and again. Thanks again to Don and Janet for making my lunch the best!
