Great restaurant with a really good menu! Went tonight with our teens to play trivia. Something for everyone and we all left happy and well fed. Highly recommend!

Ordered from them through Skip at 7:30pm. Establishment didn't acknowledge for over 2 hours. Order was subsequently canceled and set my business elsewhere.

I won't be doing business with them for the foreseeable future.

Went home and ordered a pizza. Lack luster food at exorbitant prices.
Excellent customer service.

Sitting here at Cecil’s now and wanted to write a review before I forgot. We are served by a lovely young lady Leila. Amazing fish and chips, green apple pecan salad and the best in house IPA ever.

Great food, great service.
Thank you Leila.

Service took forever. Probably 20 people on a Friday and it was terrible. In house brew was disgusting once we finally got it. Went to lou Dawgs down the street and was served within seconds.

Husband had a meatball sub with lots of carrots in it? Tasted horrible. My daughter had the kids spaghetti and it also had carrots in it? They seem to use carrots in everything. How to you screw up Kraft dinner. Well they did. I would never go back

I ate here on Dec 13, 2024 as part of a staff function. We were a group of 24 and reservations were made in advance. Tables were divided into two long tables with one server assigned to each. Our server was Rob. It took forever to be served drinks; and the only person at our end who was offered another drink when he was done was a gentleman. The other 3 people were done theirs as well and no one was offered a second. Appetizers also took forever. I have had Cecils Beef Bourguignon on several occasions and recommended it to many people as it is my favourite. I got served a huge mound of mashed potatoes with gravy. There were 3 pieces of carrot and a few small bits of beef that weren't even bite-sized. And the salt! I was so hungry by the time I got served that I ate half. I am pretty sure it was the bottom of the pot. $28.50 for potatoes and gravy is too much. I emailed Cecils my concerns and no reply, so review it is. Many of my colleagues were also quite disappointed. I will not be eating here again which is sad because it's an independent downtown business. You need to do better, Cecils.

First time visiting. Food and service were both great. Definitely going to return. Thanks.

Great service and atmosphere. Most of the time the food is good, but it can be hit and miss.
In house brew on tap.

Kevin Montgomery

The house amber ale is really good.

Jon Lebold

Attended in a very large group. The service was perfect (Melissa was great) and the food was perfect. Will visit again!

It's like eating out of the dumpster bin. The staff are incredibly rude too.

All I can say is Rob saved the day! If every business had a guy like this non would go under! This guy genuinely cares about his customers! He is a wonderful person to represent this company, he is very knowledgeable about the history of the business and all of its possible facts. He puts 100% into making sure you have a good time while you're having an experience at cecils. His attitude towards any problems that may arise make you feel like you're genuinely being taken care of and not an annoyance to his evening.
He is genuinely an asset to this business and I wish him all the best in anything he does in his life!!! Keep being amazing and making people want to come back for a memorable experience at this restaurant! Wishing you all the best Rob! Thanks again!

So the Asian Cashew Chicken Stir fry came with chopsticks and chicken that needed to be cut...
There's no flavour to the Stir fry just s tangy vinegar.
Service was great but the food could use some work.
The pizza is from there ghost many kitchen (Nonas Kitchen) which if you look at my review of there pizza you'll understand why I won't be going back to Cecil's.

I only gave 2 stars due to service.

I cannot believe the service asked a question of how long for dinner and had a extremely snappy response from the waitress
