Small portion of fish actually received one small fillet and the rest of the few pieces were the size of the end of my thumb. Paid for a fish dinner which is to include coleslaw and did not receive coleslaw. Paid an extra $2 for homemade tarter sauce and instead received two sealed Kraft tarter sauce containers. Very disappointed and won't bother going back.

The fish is the best I've had in a 300km radius. Light batter, flaky and well fileted pickerel! Service is great one of the ladies was going around with bottled water and little dishes for puppies so sweet my Maggie (yorkie poo) just loved her! If you have a chance to buy a frozen moose meat pie from the trading post I highly recommend it! The people who work at the Gen 7 are just great to chat with! Can't wait for my next visit!

Unsure what all the complaints are about since I drove 3,000 km across Quebec and Ontario during my vacation this summer ant this place was the BEST culinary experience for $20
Being a vegetarian I went with the Impossible Beef burger and Greek salad which ended up being a HUGE portion to enjoy amongst friendly drivers from all over Canada.
Service took 15 minutes, but being a popular pit stop on the Trans Canadian Highway one wondered why so many people were willingly waiting in the burning sun. Well, they had picnic tables, WIFI, cheap gas and more importantly excellent service. Drivers spoke to staff if they had been to this place hundred times before which they probably had!
The one thing I almost missed because it's hidden behind some huge wooden bears was the ice-cream parlor next to the Fish & Ships joint. OMG - the quality of that scoop was the best I had in a very long time! They should do a combo deal with the restaurant so more people get to enjoy the experience.
Folks, if you eat junk food on a regular basis it becomes hard to know if fries are from Costco or home made. Treat yourself to local food options like this fine place instead of American fast food joints. You are on vacation so it's worth it!

Poutines are to die for, service is great, staff is friendly and there's affordable gas located right next to it. Every travelers dream ☺️

The BEST fish and chips. Real fresh pickeral! They actually fill the box up with fries. Lots of options on the menu. The girl who took my order was so kind. Lots of tables and cool things to do while you wait, like a massive connect 4 and a huge chair for photos! It was pretty busy and we didnt wait long. $6 for a kids chicken fingers and fries with 3 huge chicken fingers and lots of fries, that's unheard of these days! We will drive through several towns to get here because it was so good!

I would recommend going somewhere else (RIV, Larry’s, Monique’s)… Jacko gives you two small pieces of Fish, and a handful of frozen fries… The slaw had no flavour, and wasn’t palatable… one would expect somewhere that serves fresh fish would have Fresh Fries…

The fish was really good, nice light crispy batter but the fries were subpar. Our dog wouldn’t even eat the fries. Portion size was decent but expected more for the cost.

was there last week pogos and hamburgers were awesome brought my family there yesterday and hamburger was undercooked, fries were hard and pogos I won't even go there, lost some customers and we were regulars..
