Went to the Moose on Loonie hot dog night to watch the Jays' game on July 22. The atmosphere was so fun! Ellie gave us amazing, friendly, and attentive service and her drink great suggestions( I had the Ok Blue Jay drink and a Tread Lightly Muskoka beer). I had to order wings to go, of course with John Candy sauce. I highly recommend a visit.

Horrible experience all together. My family were down visiting relatives, and were recommended to visit the moose and wow was that a horrible recommendation. The food was mediocre as our wings came out cold. The service was slow. Which was truly a disappointment because we had high hopes.

Absolutely terrible experience. The service was painfully slow, we waited ages just to be acknowledged. When the staff finally approached us, they were incredibly unhappy looking and didn’t seem motivated to work there. The place itself was dirty, with unclean tables and an overall unhygienic vibe.
What made it worse was seeing how poorly the management treated their staff. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and it clearly affects the morale and service. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid.

I visited the Moose Cookhouse on a recent trip to North Bay, as was advised by friends who had been to the area before.
I was absolutely shocked and disappointed by the service and standard of food at the place.
Not only was it just not very clean, the whole space just was very unwelcoming and the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there. Not sure if that says more about the management or restaurant itself...
If you want to have below-average food, with a side of disappointment, then this is the perfect spot for you. Otherwise, I would suggest going to the nearest McDonalds.

Ive come here a few times when visiting a friend, its a true shame as every experience thereafter was a little more disappointing than the last. Customer service has gone down, food quality has gone down, staff morale has gone down, the atmosphere has gone down also.. Please Moose Cookhouse, do better.
