The raven has gone so down hill. Used to come here all the time while in uni. We met up with friends here recently and the service was terrible. The 'front of house manager' very rudely shouted at me when I asked for a menu stating 'listen we told you and your little group when you got here, NO FOOD or just order off the late night menu.' No problem I ordered off the late night menu. The spinach dip was disgusting with smokey tasting stale pita bread. When I went to pay our tab, I waited a very, very, long time at the bar before being addressed. I nicely asked to close out our tab. The same manager once again, rudely shouted at me, 'Nuh uh, thats not how this is going to go. You can go get all your little friends and everyone can come up and pay, now.' Again, this would have been no problem for everyone to cash out our tabs as we were all over the terrible service and rude staff, but it was the manner in which she asked. Will never be returning.

Our reservation was for 5 . It was absolutely freezing there. None of us could take off our coats for the first hourThe waitress took our drink orders , then our appetizers , the pita bread was smoked not toasted. Was over an hour before our dinner orders were takenWho screws up fries ? Not just one of us. 6 of us were shocked at how terrible the food wasWe all agreed we wouldn’t bother to try this place again

Raven is the bomb. Best spinach dip ive had in north bay hands down. Burgers are tasty and filling, even if youre a bit picky like my fiance and myself. The ambiance is great on a Friday and Saturday, especially if they have a DJ. Fun themed events that seem like they run every week. Oh, and the owner makes a mean Caesar ;)

Got take out. Arrived on time.Waited 10 mins for our food. It was cold, over cooked and burnt. No one was in there eating it wasent busy. They didn't have any take out bags had to carry 4 to go boxes. Spent 80 for it to go in the garbage. Never

Follow up- it's now been 2 months since the below post.I continue to be disappointed by the food. You've created an amazing menu, yet, you're out of ingredients, drink items, and the food continues to not improve, as of today, I've tried the brownie; dry, flavorless, to say the least. And the "Nutella brownie" is a blob of Nutella at the back with a small plop of icecream. Somethjng I would expect of a 2 star location. I keep trying hoping something will change. -definition of insanity, I guess-If this continues, I'm not sure how long the food portion can continue to function at this level?? I'm genuinely worried about what's happening with their kitchen staff.Something needs to give.I know you can do better Raven.-------------I posted roughly 4 months ago now, and aside from the consistently good front staff and atmosphere, I've been very disappointed recently with the food. Hence, my overall rating of 2.Three times I've gone out in the last two weeks, and the brie has been frozen in the center. I've had to send it back 3 times in one night, and finally, the front staff advised it would just not cost.The nachos are never layered, and sometimes, the cheese is not melted.I've tried their burgers and loved them, however, recently the outside was burnt, the inside was raw, the burger didn't have any Condiments on them, and to top it off, the patty was broken when it arrived on the plate and I took the bun off.I tried the butterchicken poutine, a friend had it maybe 2 weeks prior, I couldn’t believe it, the cheese curds were ice cold, some pieces of chicken were warm, others cold all the way through.Another example is that I made a request for the pasta salad to come with chicken. The chicken wasn't pan seared it looked like it had been boiled, ran under cold water, as it was frigid, and then the four small pieces were tossed in just under a layer of undercooked pasta, olives and bits of cheese.With the loss of the White owl on Lakeshore, it would have been a great opportunity to open Sundays on the patio only for a Brunch style menu and live music. Who knows, it still may be possible??? This write hopes so.I love the Raven, and I've continued to go back, trying a variety of foods, attending and supporting local artists and frankly I've been left very disappointed with the way things have been turning out in the kitchen, a lack of good desserts is another point of contention as well and I won't get started poor spellchecked and confusing menus that they hand to customers, as a business owner I'd have sent them right back to the designer for corrections.I assume if this continues, it'll be a big loss for North Bay and my fix for local and unique talent.P.S. I will not end on a bad note, there is a glimmer of hope, if the waiter staff continue to be amazing, creating fascinating cocktails and inviting unique talent and artists to the Raven, we might be okay, I want us to be okay and I want the Raven to get back to those amazing years, of the great Food, great Service, and great Atmosphere. I believe they can do it.

I don’t normally write reviews but as a 19 year old university student in a university town I have never had such a bad service experience. I’ve been a server myself and understand when you’re out of things or when it takes extra long in the kitchen but we were told 5+ time that multiple things in our order were unavailable 20 minutes after we had already ordered. Me and my three friends l then waited over 40 minutes for our Nacho's and fries and another 40 minutes to get our bills after we had finished eating. My one friend also was especially excited to come here as they advertise having vegan options but when we arrived all the vegan options were crossed off. She then decided to just get a plate of fries and was charged for the wrong thing. On top of that the female chef in the kitchen was walking around with freshly washed wet hair wrapped up in a bath towel? While cooking…. I can safely say me and my friends will never be back and will not be recommending to any fellow universities students.

Always such a great place to go. The staff are always so friendly and courteous. The food is pretty bang on as well. The night events there are so much fun as well. Definitely recommend going here either for a bite to eat or for drinks with friends.
Love this place! So cozy!!! The service was amazing and the food superb. I had the Buddha bowl and was so pleased that they had some really great gluten free and vegan options for someone like me! Their caesars are also aaaaaamazing. Would definitely recommend!

My first choice bar! Never had a bad night here... staff are really friendly and easy to get along with, DJs are awesome, have never come home from here after a night out feeling disappointed or wishing I had gone someplace else. They do plenty of events as well, so there's really a time for anyone to come and have a good night out :-) I always make tons of friends when I come out here, even on a slower night.

OMW were do l start. The waitress was spectacular. Very efficient and more. The prices are fair, lots of tasty delicious foods. Slightly higher however service was excellent and great amt of food. We didn't drink but had a nice Virgin Lavender Lemonade, which was rather sour, didn't taste any Lavender, was very refreshing. We stayed to enjoy the Drag Show with Secrets by Scarlet and her cast of 5 l'm thinking. Lots of fun lots of laughing. Had nicer Figures then most women there! Makeup was sensational. Hope to beable to attend more in the future. Great place to perform. Place was packed.. Means NB is acceptable for great Fun entertainment. Bravonactors and more xo
