This is heartbreaking--the food was always top quality, nice surroundings, beautiful view, great service. We wish the operators the very best, but boy, are they going to be missed.

I ordered the chicken sausage and kale pasta and substituted zuchini noodles. 27 dollars with a 3 dollar bump up for zuchini. There was 3 small pieces of chicken, 4 small pieces of sausage and the bowl was a soupy mess of unflavored white sauce. I ate the small pieces of meat. Came home and had dinner. Very disappointed. I have made zuchini noodles, this is not how they should be served.

This is a must go restaurant in North Bay! The food is always amazing. The service is great. The atmosphere is wonderful. In the summer they have a patio looking out at Lake Nipissing.

If its your first time in North Bay and YOU have to go to White Owl Bistro! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The White Owl Bistro is to die for. The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Pleasantly surprised !! The outside looks like a small house but once inside, it was a cozy and intimate setting. Came here based on reviews and did not disappoint. The hostess was friendly and accommodating with our table request. Rita, our waitress, was so so kind and friendly. She also knew answers to questions we had about the menu and ingredients. We ordered the Farmers Board, Strip Steak and the Special Table d’hôte baked Chicken stuffed with Camembert, Mushroom and spinach. The accompanying veggies and potatoes were local produce and taste better than the chains. Cheesecake was delicious. The food presentation was excellent. Would come here again but unfortunately live 5hrs away. Was only passing through and glad wife picked this restaurant.

We had a birthday dinner take out order for 6 this evening and it was absolutely amazing-all 6 meals, including one with some very specific dietary needs! Thank you to the staff and chef! So good!

First, You better be hungry when you come to this restaurant! The portions are huge… but even more important, they’re REALLY good! We had the mushroom brushetta appetizer with goat cheese, and the pickerel dinner. Sooooo good, and the fact we’re also supporting local farmers… very very cool! Second, this place has so much character! The ambiance is amazing, and despite the fact I was there on a rainy day, I could see that they have an awesome patio with a great view (I’ll have to go back on a nicer day!). To top it all off, all of the employees and wait staff were super pleasant and friendly! So, I guess overall, pretty great place… eh?

The food here is incredible, the menu is thoughtfully planned and not overwhelming. We've been three times and plan to make this a regular spot for brunch and dinners out. The local ingredients really make the difference, and Corrine and Rita provided excellent service to us.

Patio with a view of Lake Nippising and plenty of spacing between tables. Staff friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to experience weekend brunch with one of us opting for traditional eggs Benedict and the other for Eggs Benny poutine…the poutine was tasty enough but once was a good enough experience. Hot coffee kept coming and we’ll be back…maybe not for the poutine.

So, you know when you’re on this site and the reviews say “smelled like dumpster from alleyway” and the food is barely reviewed. Well, glad to say that’s NOT this review. It was all very nice and pleasant. They try hard and the staff are friendly. No alleyway dumpsters! So we get to review food. And think of it as fancy food that’s almost in the big league. Almost. Cause the best flavours aren’t quite there and the fish is a bit less flaky than you’d like but, overall? Great place to relax and have a nice meal. Well done.

I ordered Eggs Benedict medium. The eggs has raw whites so I sent them back and waited 15 minutes (my 4 friends were finished eating at that time). This time eggs were hard-cooked and scantily brushed with sauce with one tiny piece of ham. When I sent it back, the homefries went back as well, but none came back. The patio was only one-quarter full yet they could not accommodate a paying customer. I was charged full price for an unbeatable meal. Clearly, customer service is not valued at a time when business are reopened after a lockdown.
