Friendly service and delicious food. We ordered the Hyderabadi chicken Biryani (it came with some lovely peanut-curry sause/chutney), dosa and idlies - all were very good, including the sambar and chutneys.
Appasamy's Biryanis are our family's go to in all of Ontario! Not only is the Paneer Tikka Biryani and the Gongura Mutton Biryani so delicious, but the service is so super kind and thoughtful! The last time we picked up dinner, we forgot to take our plain basmati rice - and today when we showed to make our order, the owner remembered that we didn't take it! I always need a plain rice to help me with the spice level (note - I don't manage mild spiciness well)...
I think they got new owners, not sure. Not that great anymore. It was good last year but from Jan, the food quality is below average, I don't feel the ingredients are fresh. Prices increased, portions are decreased and don't taste authentic anymore.
