I hate to write a negative review about any local small business shops. I went in for a lunch takeout and found the menu very confusing. The lady said they dont do fish sandwiches, and no salad with fish either. So I said fish and french fries then and ordered the fish of the day grilled. I ended up getting a piece of salmon with a small tub of teriyaki sauce. I asked about the fries and was told grilled fish is not fish & chips. Who walks in to buy lunch just to eat a piece of fish? I could have grilled my own fish at home for way less money! The salmon was grilled nicely but very bland. The teriyaki sauce did help. I will not visit this shop again. There is no comparison with The Fish Store & YuNez on College/Bathurst.

If you’re into fresh seafood, Avenue Seafood is a great choice.
They’ve got a wide selection of dishes with rich flavors.
The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.
Perfect spot for a casual meal or a night out.

What really sets Avenue Seafood apart though is how friendly and helpful the staff are. They’re welcoming, patient, and genuinely passionate about seafood. They answered all my questions and even gave me tips on how to prepare what I bought.

If you care about quality, cleanliness, and great service, this is the seafood market to go to!

The Lady Emma is very helpful & the shop is very clean! I entered to have my fill of fish & chips! Unfortunately they may not be licensed to be a partial dinner cum gourmet fish boutique! There were fortune cookies & the numbers invite me to play the lottery! There are also a lot of peppermint Lindt chocolate, which I have not tasted before & various others & authentic Chinese jujitsu & candies! The gourmet fish stall caters to caviar lovers, black & red, anchovies, trout pate, lobster bisque, crab, giant shrimps, salmon & par excellence Norwegian Steel trout & Wasabi & shrimp, & various sauces & capers & vermicelli to spice up your soups! It is an appetizer for those who delight in entree as the Spice Of Life!

Smoked salmon was incredible! Packaging looked kinda sketchy, but the smart counterman must have caught my raised eyebrow because he was quick to assure me it was excellently sourced and fresh. And it was awesome, even my wife who doesn't care for Smoked salmon said it was awesome.

Fish was ok, could use a little bit of seasoning in the batter. The fries were burnt..

Fish was not fresh and buried in rock hard blocks of batter. My wife couldn't eat hers. Worst fish and chips yet.

Parking: Just down the road on Avenue Road green p.

I've been here three times already and the quality has been excellent each time. Very good fish and chips, although no dine in is available. (You can sit at the benches near Ambrosia if you prefer)

This is NOT a dine in restaurant although google and website says it is.
