First time visit and you can tell by the queue that never seems to end how popular it is. The choices are straightforward, you order , pay and wait for your monster sandwich to arrive. I had a chicken deluxe without the tomato and it was enough for 2 people. The breaded chicken escalopes were nicely cooked and fresh - I really enjoyed mine and would recommend it.

This is my first visit to this location of California Sandwiches. This is now one of many franchises in the city with the original still on Claremont. I have picked up veal from quite few of the locations and generally they are quite good. Unfortunately, not this location. The veal comes in a soggy bun with way too much tomato sauce. Unfortunately, no amount of sauce could cover the poor quality of the veal. It is tough, it is grizzly and the bread covering separates from the veal as you bite on it. It was not edible. We ended up throwing away most of the sandwich. Perhaps they have expanded way too fast resulting in poor quality.
