Au Pain Doré is a cozy gem tucked near Finch Station, offering a calm escape with its spacious layout and large glass walls that let in plenty of light. The clean interior, well-organized displays, and clearly labeled items create a seamless and welcoming experience.
I tried the Portuguese custard tart, which had a flaky crust and creamy filling that felt indulgent yet balanced. The Danish cheese pastry was equally memorable, with buttery layers and a rich, sweet centre. Their Americano was smooth and robust, making it a perfect pairing for the pastries.
Pricing felt reasonable, and the service was quick and efficient, adding to the overall appeal. This café’s relaxed vibe, quality food, and attention to detail make it a spot I’ll definitely return to for a peaceful coffee break.

Staff was friendly and clear to understand. Food on display is looks amazing and it's delicious. I would highly recommend Au Pain Dore Bakery over Tim Hortons in the nearby subway. Food is fresh same as the coffee.

Such a charming little cafe at the most convenient location. It’s right out of the TTC station. Didn’t expect anything given the location. For the longest time I thought it’s just another cafe profiting off the busy and desperately hungry commuters and boy was I ever so wrong. The pastries are very fresh - right out of the ovens. Fresh pastries really do taste different I swear. They are baked in store so it smells heavenly when you sit in there. So. Croissant. It’s been a while since I’ve consumed a normal plain butter croissant and I’ve forgotten how good croissant can be without all those crazy toppings and fillings. It’s just. Such an uncomplicated pure and simple goodness. Tried a few other pastries and all were excellent. The sandwich was fine. The coffee was ok. I have nothing to complain. But really the highlight (other than the delicious pastries) have been the customer service. The staffs were amazing. They brought such a warm and welcoming atmosphere to the place.
I stumbled across this bakery and am addicted! It's on the other side of the Finch subway so you have to exit TTC to enter to Xerox Center. It's the first shop on your left. Forget the 3 Tim Horton's in Finch Station when you can get better stuff here. Bought 2 Portuguese egg tarts to go - one for myself and a family member. It was so delicious that I was tempted to eat the 2nd one but regretted that I already told them about it. I'm scared to pass by Finch Station now, cause I know my belly will automatically take me here 😋. Looking forward to trying their coffees, sandwiches, and other pastries.

My order was assisted by Rina and her crew. To my amazement, Rina is excellent in American Sign language and provided excellent customer service there. The bakery/breakfast food (Brioche Doree/Au Pain Dore) is excellent, and the atmosphere is serene and tidy. perfect in my opinion. I recommend the cheese and omelette on a croissant; ask for extra cheese! it tastes better!

Nice little place with good food and atmosphere ! Each night they have a ton of left over pastries - I always wonder what they do with it , because one minute it’s all there, and next minute it’s all cleared - I haven’t seen an end of day sale - but if they’re getting thrown away, would be nice for them to sell them cheap at the end of the day rather than wasting them .
