This place blows away any veal sandwich I have ever had.. But only this location.. I have been to the one on Warden and it's garbage compared to this gem.... Can't wait to go back and I'm an hour away

Been eating at Cali's since I was a kid downtown at the original location.
I always anticipate a decline in the quality, but they have managed to keep the same experience for as long as I could remember.
It's a tad on the expensive side, but in all honesty, I never leave unsatisfied. I'll go for the veal, at least a few times every month.
No matter how many other places I try a veal, they never really match up how Cali's makes it.
Keep up the great food California Sandwiches, thank you.
Worst hours. They're not even open on SUNDAY. Lost a lot of business. The area is so busy on Sunday.

Their schtick is making sandwiches that are big and sloppy. I had a meatball sandwich. The bread is chewy / doughy. The meat was not seasoned / bland. Skip this place. There are far better sandwich shops around.
