Sold close to expired dulce de leche from Los Nietitos. It was full of sugar grains inside when we opened it. Manager wouldn’t want to return or exchange and said it was actually supposed to look like that. She said Uruguayan Dulce
De Leche is supposed to be chunky with sugar grains and Argentinian is spreadable. What a joke. Make sure you check expired dates when buying from here!!
Food:
- Chorizo with potatoes empanada has a weird flavour. Texture of masa is good. Size is pretty small, like 2 Colombian empanada, maybe palm of hand. A bit spicy 7/10 spice. 6/10 for overall value
- Beef had a good flavour. Texture was pretty moist and breading was very thin, almost ripping but good flavour 7.5/10
- Al pastor - actually tasted like pastor. A bit dry but flavourful. Nice touch with a couple chunks of pineapple. Texture of masa was good, held together well. 8/10
5 ⭐️, walk inside El Gaucho and you walk to an Argentinean store like in Buenos Aires 🥰🥰🥰
Very nice business, friendly, professional and very clean. The butcher se turn is always super fresh and so clean!
Good spot for fresh butchered meats at an appropriate price.
Great meat cuts and service really enjoyed the quality and variety they have to choose. We will be vack again!
Best meat price in town.
Large grocery
Good selection of meats and others
Love this place :) I like to prepare some yummy tacos 🌮

Overpriced average/ok meat.
They used to be on keele street for years, felt they were hotshit because they didn't have competition for quality meat. If it wasn't for newly arrived immigrants that can't speak English wrongfully trusting them for being fellow Spanish speakers, they would have been out of business years ago.
Exelent attention thanks
Pretty place!
Worst experience.. I haven’t been there in years.. today Sunday dec 15th I said I’ll check it out.. well churros.. the worst! I spent $9 bucks on 6 churros and they were bad.. tasted like yesterday churros.. soggy and hardly anything inside.. the sandwich de miga.. $11 bucks for a small one.. and I had to grow it out..! Smelled rotten! Obviously not fresh..and saying that I will definitely won’t go there to buy the sweets..:( maybe one day the meat.. but I heard for the price Eddystone is way much better! Sad a Argentinian shop that’s has been around for so long is not Argentinian anymore and prices are out of this work!!
run a business is not just to sell good products its also give a good customer service, I give you a suggestion, write down the rules and so the customers won't make mistake and owner be more kind .
