JOCELYN is a racist lady. She was so dismissive and passive to me unprovoked but was all receptive to everyone else. She is extremely rude and unprofessional. Never had a problem with any of the other ladies working in the caf.

It's alright, could be improved. Better dietary foods for health options.
Very mid. You pay like $12 for some Korean bowl which consists of medium rare chicken, rice, cabbage, and whatever other vegetables they throw in. Or you can build your own bowl and wait and watch them cook it so you know the chicken won’t be medium rare. It’s just not worth it for $12 and your barely satisfied. You’re better off spending $12 at shoppers and making a sandwich yourself
I was about to order when I heard the supervisor tell two cashiers very roughly to " Speak English" (even amongst themselves) because "That is what the boss said". Then she yelled at me "Helloooo, are you going to order?". I inquired if she asked them to speak English, she confirmed and said it's not me that it is what the boss wants. I urge the "boss" to change this policy because it is xenophobic.
Decent food and coffee options
I love the pasta here! The protein options aren’t the best but man the pasta is totally worth it without any proteins!!! The staff is lovely too, the most perfectly priced food on campus.
Like almost everywhere on campus, severely ordinary food is sold here at inflated prices.Expect to pay $12 for a simple small sized black bean burger with sweet potato fries and a drink. If you’re blaming inflation, mind you this was the price before even inflation started hitting hard in early 2022.The black bean burger tasted exactly like pan grilled frozen patty on an untoasted supermarket bought bun with just onion, tomato and lettuce. Basically, like a simple burger you’d make at home under 5minutes but at an expensive price.Well, this university is a food desert, so this is just one of your tiny list of options. If the university and the food contractors even care about catering to students’ budget, I hope this review makes a difference although I know it’s as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Exactly as I remembered it being 20 years ago. Love it.
Food prices affordable here.

Great ambiance.
Usually dirty. very expensive. not a whole lot of options, but what they do have is pretty good. people who work here are usually miserable. what else can you expect from york
This is the third time I ordered latte macchiato, and they give me caramel macchiato
Not my favorite place to grab food. It is usually a last resort. The food on the shelves is often stale, the fast food made in front of you is still questionable. The are flies everywhere. The cleanliness is questionable. I also dislike the schools policy on not allowing bottled water to be sold. If I forget my reusable water bottle at home, I'm stuck buying a sugary drink (which I do not drink at all, and that are still sold in plastic bottles!!). The cafeteria has given me cups in the past to get water, this kindness is the only reason I haven't given the caf a 1 star.
Average food but lovely service
