I was excited about this cafe opening and had the first opportunity to visit on Sept 13. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a large latte from the person working that afternoon. I really enjoyed it and had very good service. The next day I returned for a large latte and there was someone else working. When it was presented to me I could tell it was not full. I flipped open the lid and said to the person working that my cup was only half full. She said that’s how they are prepared. I explained that I was in there the previous day and the person prepared it for me as a full cup (espresso, steamed milk and foam). She said, “Well I’m the owner and that’s how they are prepared but I could put an extra shot of espresso in it.” I said, owner or not, it has nothing to do with serving a full latte at $8.40! I will unlikely return.

I don't like leaving negative feedback but since this place went out of business, I thought my negative opinion of this place wouldn't damage their reputation. I went here a few times and reading the negative reviews, I can see why it went out ofbusiness. I ordered either a decaf cappuccino or a London Fog. Both drinks were disappointing. The cappuccino had an uneven ratio where the foam is either too thin or too thick instead of smooth microfoam, and either too hot (scalding the milk) or lukewarm. I complained to the manager and she advised me to tell the barista about the foam but no one could make a decent cappuccino, including her. It was consistently bad. I couldn't justify paying downtown hipster coffee prices for a bad cappuccino. Another thing that irked me was that only two of the three tables were worth sitting at. If a customer occupied the good table, you were forced to sit on a chair facing the wall because the staff would occupy the only other good table. The table by the window was hot as hell because of the sun. I enjoyed the manager's customer service skills, always affable and personal. It's unfortunate that Marlee lost another business.

The overall experience was bad, but the food really brought it down to a one star. The workers seemed as if their job was forced upon them. The server also gave us options for foods to eat knowing it was stale and still served it to us. Like said previously, the overall experience was bad and do not recommend coming here at all

Highly recommend! We had the BLT and an egg/bacon/cheese sandwich. Delicious, fresh and quality ingredients. The two ladies working when we were there were super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely make a point to include at least a couple visits anytime we are in LH.

Unfortunately one of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to. The drinks were straight milk and the person working there seemed unhappy to do their job. No customer service aspect at all and the worst part is the price I paid for such bad quality and unfortunately I tipped them too.

You should immediately change the staff.. very rude behavior. This won't take you much ahead. Coffee houses are all about customer experience. Why advertise your opening hours till 4pm when you close at 3:30pm. Also upon raising this issue we were met with a very rude and cold reply. Change the staff immediately.

We got strawberry matcha. Matcha was $10 and they used costco matcha powder…. Plus the strawberry wasn’t even real strawberry puree, it was just flavouring. Wayyyy more expensive that photos of the menu posted we saw online.. the prices on the menu are blocked out in person too. It’s a bit on us, but I’ve been to many matcha spots in the city, most of which have better quality drinks and have never been charged $10… Only 2 stars because lady working was nice.

Was having a day! Went for a walk, stumbled on this gem. Needed a quiet place to do my homework That wasn’t a chain. The staff was so lovely and the music was the best. Not only did I have a good experience, it helped me with my studying!
