The meat here is very chewy compared to other daldongnaes I’ve been too. We ordered the chuck steak, finger meat, and rib steak. We didn’t finish our food but they were nice enough to take it off our bill. I’m not sure why the meat differs from place to place but Richmond hills daldongnaes has always been consistent with high quality meat and never had issue with the chewiness. Friendly staff here so 5 stars for them.

Love the re-creation of places of the marginalized Korean folks in 50's and 60's, when they lost their homes and businesses to find places with holed roof through which they could see the moon, which is reflected in the name. Food has improved quite a bit, services have been spot on, and the atmosphere is very very unique. The choice of meat is what makes the Korean bbq excellent as you can enjoy the top quality meat to the meat that commoners and marginalized people could afford. Yet, it is delicious and delightful to savor in your mouth.
I went to daldongnae with my coworkers over the weekend on Saturday to celebrate a promotion, when we arrived there everything seemed to be great but when we tried to order some alcohol we were asked for id, which is fine so everyone was getting ready to show them. We had 2 underage people at our table so they were definitely not going to drink, but the server said we can't order because they were here but it didn't make any sense because they weren't the ones who was going to and we wanted to have a good time. They refused for about 30 minutes saying it was the law under ontario but I used to serve and as long the underage people weren't touching the alcohol it wouldn't be a problem. I asked to see some proof of it but they failed to provide. It ruined my experience here.

Been here twice now and it's one of the best KBBQ in the GTA. They have a good variety of cuts of meats all of which are very fresh and delicious. The service is near-perfect, at times the servers may just walk past your table without noticing you're trying to get their attention. The establishment is smaller therefore the table sizing is not adequate when it comes to any party of more than 4 people, you are placed in the same table meant for 4 people even when you have 6 people which can be crowded since it's lots of dishes on the table due to the fact it's KBBQ.

We were five people dining in at what we had thought, going by the ratings, as a good Korean bbq restaurant. We had invited guests from out of town who love Korean food. It was all in all extremely disappointing. We ordered 2 boneless short ribs, two tenderloins and one ribeye. The meat was of very poor quality. Honestly, I don’t think it was tenderloin at all, it looked more like sirloin steak. It wasn’t tender at all. The ribeye was not at all well marbled, quite tough. The only meat worth eating was the short ribs. We struggled with the rest. The accompaniments were very disappointing. The kimchi was soggy. The one thing that one looks forward to in a Korean restaurant are the various sauces and variety of kimchi. Both were lacking. The servers were sweet, but inattentive. We had to keep calling out for refills.The way everything was served was impossible to make proper helpings of food. We all left hungry and extremely disappointed. Never again.
