Came in for lunch. Ordered hainanese chicken and milk tea. The place is decently decorated and clean. The music is not too loud. It wasnt too busy. The staff was nice and the service was pretty fast. The food was good.

The staff are so sweet and nice! The food is so light and so filling!! The atmosphere is quiet and super calming, everything about this place is so peaceful, the food is just amazing!! The drinks especially were really good!!

The atmosphere and food of the place is incredible. I went here for the first time and got the chicken broth soup along with a side order of chicken teriyaki and taiwanese popcorn chicken. The food was very enjoyable, especially the chicken teriyaki. They also have a wide variety of drink options that come in a combo with your meal that can be served either hot or cold. I got a lychee ice which was very refreshing. Highly recommend this location!

Worst service…didn’t get my soup noodle order after 1/2hr. Cancelled the order. They only care about filling the seats, but not serving the food.

Their new afternoon tea menu uses AI generated photos. Don’t bother getting their Satay beef with vermicelli. Barely any beef, doesn’t taste good and clearly did not look like their AI picture. How hard is it to take a real picture?

The service at this restaurant is horrible ever. The server had bad attitude when I came inside. She did not bring the water for the customer, when I ask the cup of ice, she said no outside drink so that I decided to still order and take out the foods. But after I pay the food without tips because it’s take out, the lady has bad attitude again and tell me go to the front, can not sit anymore even through there are plenty of empty table anyway.

Plz don’t come to this restaurant, or the owner should fire this lady server or else I will tell all of my friends don’t come over again !

This Deer Garden location brings Richmond BC's made-to-order soup place to North York! You pick the broth, noodle type, toppings, and write your order on a piece of paper for the kitchen to whip up. The dried fish and minced pork soup base is flavourful and complex. Comes with HK style tea or you can upgrade to good quality drinks like bubble tea for an additional charge of $3.50. There are also Taiwanese specials everyday where rice is topped with meat and a fried egg.

The space is bright and modern with beige granite tables. Less busier than their first location outside of BC in Richmond Hill. Cash and debit only.

The dishes were just so-so, and the service was terrible, so I didn’t leave a big tip. The server’s behaviour was so rude—she even told me the tip was too small, as if trying to teach me a lesson. It was very uncomfortable. Maybe they rely on tips due to low wages, but that doesn’t justify treating customers like that. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Ordered Hainanese chicken rice dish. When arrived, ask for hot sauce. Waitress (not the tall one) said there’s a charge. A very common thing to request in Chinese restaurant, never need to pay extra.

I have always eaten at the Richmond Hill restaurant. I tried it this time and the food is just as good.
Lassa Fish Soup Noodles with Large Intestine and Squid Sticks - Maintaining the Standard
Curry Chicken Cutlet Rice - First time trying it, I was pleasantly surprised, the curry has coconut flavor and the chicken cutlet is crispy
Salt crispy chicken nuggets, sandy chicken wings-👍
The waitress is polite and the place is clean
Overall very satisfied

I have eaten at the Richmond Hill Fruit Shop and it was delicious. It calls for the same fish soup but I don’t know why it is so difficult to eat... The hot lemon tea is so bitter that I can’t drink it. The clerk explained that lemons are sometimes bitter in winter... Smiling lightly, in the end he was willing to exchange for a cup of hot water, so he wouldn't have this time again in the future.

I arrived 15 minutes before the shop opened, but the lady didn’t allow me to enter. It was -3°C and snowing outside. I'll leave it at that.

I had a sore throat the next day after eating it, and then started having a fever. Not only that, my friend who ate with me also felt unwell, and her symptoms were not just a sore throat. There is seafood in the XO sauce. My friend is allergic to seafood. When she felt uncomfortable, we just asked the waiter to take it away for me, but not only did she not take it, she also said it would be fine if she left it. My friend has been having headaches ever since then! ! ! I had a headache all day long! I still don’t know what tomorrow will bring! ! !
