Exceptional food; excellent service; lovely decor. Award-winning chef. Best Chinese restaurant in Toronto. Perfect place for Dim Sum lunches as well as full-course dinners and family celebrations. Peking Duck: 2 courses. Special Chef menu. Everything is fabulous, on both the Dim Sum and Main Menu. Thank you, Delicacy Kitchen! And, congratulations on celebrating your 3rd Anniversary!

While looking for a good HK-style Chinese place near Yorkdale, I found Delicacy Kitchen. The reviews looked promising, and my friend and I made the drive south to check it out. The first red flag was that the dining room was almost empty on a Friday evening. For many years, this location was a very well-respected Italian restaurant, and it seems that Delicacy Kitchen did not do any real changes to the dining room. The ambiance was pretty boring and dated, with nothing really distinctively Asian about it. There is a lot of seating, although only a small section was being used for the 3-4 tables we saw upon arrival. We ordered two types of dim sum (hargow and beef tripe with scallion/garlic) in addition to a plate of beef fried rice noodles and chicken with broccoli. The dim sum was good, with the har-gow having a decent amount of shrimp in each dumpling. Unfortunately, we both felt the two wok dishes were very underwhelming. I was expecting beef with ho-fun noodles (wide), but instead got rice vermicelli noodles you would expect in a pad thai. The dish had zero smoky wok-hei and contained pieces of egg. The chicken and broccoli was pretty mid-level, but again, it had no wok-hei or noticeable flavor beyond some basic garlic. Fortunately, the service was quite good and the food was brought out quickly, not that I'd have expected a wait with the amount of customers seated upon our arrival. I'd strongly pass on this place. It's really nothing special.

We ordered take out. general Tao’s chicken was so bad we couldn’t eat it. We also ordered Shanghai noodles and an eggplant dish. Also terrible. We threw it all in the garbage.

My first time at this restaurant and it was a great experience. They had a 3rd anniversary promotion so the roast pigeon was at a big discount and no reservation was needed. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. Definitely a place I’d come back to even without the promotion!

Dim sum is really bad here. It's the worst dim sum I ever tried. Their signature chicken is nothing special. At times it's not fully cooked.

The food is incredibly delicious. I’m from the canton region and I can wholeheartedly endorse the food as truly authentic. Additionally, the servers went above and beyond in introducing the rich history of the cuisine and dishes. Overall, would strong recommend!
