Staff were very accomodating of allergies and went out of their way to ensure that my guests had an excellent and safe dining experience!

Have been to the restaurant a few times, and was delighted with the new menu. The Maghmour was outstanding. Hope to be back soon to try out other items.

Very nice, generous lunch in the elegant and, on a hoiday-weekend Sunday, very quiet room. Tip: the za'tar fries are really really good! more than enough for sharing, too.

Diwan is one of Toronto's true hidden gems. We love the experience of the food in a wonderful ambience. I highly recommend it!

The chicken in the biryani we ordered was dry and not enough meat for the price ! So cheap ! The salmon had no taste and smelled fishy ! Was not seasoned well! We have been to Diwan and the food was exceptional. This was a disappointing experience for the price !

Super friendly staff from start to finish! Apps were great, main course was even better. Mocktails were also amazing!

I accompanied a friend who requires a wheelchair, and the museum and restaurant were fully accessible. All the doors are automatic, and the staff were so kind as to accompany us via a shortcut to the to the parking lot. The galleries were not at all crowded on a Tuesday afternoon, and the restaurant was moderately busy with excellent, attentive service.

This was my second time dining at Diwan. My first experience was a number of years ago. There was four of us for lunch. We each ordered a cocktail prior to ordering our food. The cocktails took a very long time to arrive. All four were tasty and nicely garnished when they did arrive. Two guests had the shrimp curry, my husband had the salmon and I had the chicken biryani. The shrimp curry was rated as good to very good, the salmon good, the biryani was very good, although the rice could have been hotter. Portions are quite large. You would be rather full if you also had a starter. For dessert one of us had the butterscotch ice cream and two of us shared the lemon lavender cheese cake. Unfortunately we all found the service slow and underwhelming. We were not in a hurry but it just seemed that the wait staff were not on their best game. The restaurant was not busy with only 3 or 4 other tables occupied.

Food was very nice and prices were not excessive. I found the spice level modest - perhaps tailored for less tolerant palettes such as mine. Better descriptions for those less familiar would help; also staff were misleading when asked about size of dishes. We could not finish two shared appetizers between 2 people had an untouched third dish packed up. we would have been happy to just have the two starters but the server led us to believe they were quite small, barely enough for 2 people. I felt upsold which I find quite off putting. Also it was not very busy but we had to repeatedly request water fill up. I would be willing to try again but I suggest caution when ordering.

I order the lamb shank, vegan falafel bowl and Zaatar fries and everything was tasty and delicious.

The lemonades are always varied (and delicious!), and I think sometimes are flavoured with herbs grown on the grounds of the Aga Khan Museum.

I have been to this restaurant several times - and each time is a lovely experience with delicious food! The service was particularly friendly yesterday - wonderful staff!
