I got the jerk sandwich and the chef special. Bread was sweet and soft like birthday cake. Chicken dry and rice was inside the sandwich which was strange.

Chef one had sticky sauce like lowicz syrup. Chicken look soft

Fries tasted like something my uncle Jiri had once in Prague from a gas station. He said same thing.

No cow meat or different fish meat. Only chicken like 5 ways.

Too much money. 3 star because I was like full.

I run a lunch club in our office and today's lunch came from El Jefe. For today's lunch we offered the chef's special honey buffalo sandwich and the Jerk. We received many compliments on both sandwiches. We also have the Cajun fries. As far as service goes, everyone I dealt with had been extremely helpful and accommodating. We had 33 people participate in our lunch club which we call the vlg (voluntary lunch group) and not a one had anything negative to say.

Nasty used to be good but not anymore I got a crispy chicken sandwich it was thinner and the skin was coming off the chicken very greasy not good atall wings were nasty to !!!!

Honestly went in with high expectations, seasoning was non existent. BBQ oxtail was too sweet. We got the October special and the ball up box and the only things we liked from it was the fries and the sweet corn bread. Such a disappointment, on what we spent compared to the taste of the food. Step the spice and seasoning game up, it ain’t it.

El Jefe De Pollo catered my work event today, very friendly staff, clean work areas, and delicious food. Special thanks to the staff that helped serve our team today, I will definitely be returning.

If you are looking to get an event catered, I would definitely recommend that you try El Jefe De Pollo, they offer Halal, Veggie, and Vegan options.

Tasty and unique sandwiches. Fresh ingredients and comes nice and hot. Friendly staff. Very fast kitchen. Love the arcade machine. Rare to see this game still out there. No credit card surcharge. Ledge for dining in when you need. Many specials available. Appears they are always changing. Keep an eye out or call ahead. Far too expensive for the portions.

Parking: Parking lot is smaller and shared with the residential complex beside it. Can be confusing and difficult to find parking.

Tried to order online after advertising said I could the website didn’t allow me. Called repeated times phone was never answered when I got inside the store I was told the phone was on do not disturb as to why no calls were answered. After receiving the food it was way less seasoned than usual very disappointing usually love this spot

We ordered:
BBQ Oxtail with Mac & Cheese, 1/2 lb Wings on Cajun fries, and a sweet treat: Brûlée Smoked Sweet Potato Cornbread. Every bite was perfection but the standout for me was their oxtail, which were tender and so flavorful!?

Chef Chino and staff were amazing too!

Best chicken sandwich in the city, hands down. Their chef's special is a unique taste that you won't find anywhere else. I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, Chino, a while back and it's evident that his main goal is to make sure customers are happy and that the surrounding community can thrive. He has proven this many times by giving away free lunches to students in the area and having constant giveaways to his customers and followers. I recommend to anyone in the area, especially York and McGuigan students. And if you see Chino, make sure to have a chat with him while waiting for your order. An all-around great guy!
