Great pizza and pasta, last few places to do free bread

This place is wonderful. They have a proper wood fire oven so all of their pizzas are delicious. The Cocktails are creative and tasty, the staff are friendly & helpful. Plus there’s plenty of free parking right around the corner.

This spot is worth a try. They serve large portions for affordable prices. Consistently neat and with great vibes. Will come back again.

Very tasty, as always. Servers with proper face masks, and friendly (just a tad clumsy with menus). Pizza is sometimes too oily for my liking, but not this time - both my husband and son loved theirs. My carpaccio was amazing - too many restaurants make it too salty and/or drowned in balsamic (or even worse, in overpowering dressing), but not McEwan: beef was fresh and full of umame and the additions just contributed to overall taste. Portions grew since last year, my teens could not finish their plates. Very good selection of wines by glass, plenty of intriguing options and variety for everyone. A bit on pricey side (except for pizza, that seems same price as any neighborhood restaurant) but amazing taste and excellent execution.

Nice patio for social distance dinning. Servers were attentive, food was fabulous. Overall a 5 star experience!

Three of us went for a nice dinner... for the cost of food and service, this restaurant is way too expensive. I like Mark, and frequent his other restos and food market semi-regularly... so was excited to try this one. I ordered a veal parmesan dish, which was diner quality at best. It came with pasta that was on the dry side, and the veal was nothing special... could have been purchased breaded from the Metro down the road. My husband ordered pizza which was soggy in the middle, and again, not restaurant quality... My son was happy with his order.. I agree with the other comments.. the quality of service was not there... waited too long for drink orders, then they came with appetizers extremely fast. Then waited too long for the mains, and one of them arrived way later than the other three. All up, we spent close to $300 with wine. A big disappointment for that kind of money! Mark you can do better than this!

Wow...not sure if the chef changed here but the food was incredible. Visited this place a few times before covid and was not impressed. Was back for the first time this week and the food blew me away. Finally something that resonates with McEwan... had the truffle fries, margarita pizza, salad and rigatoni all delicious! Even over ate since it was soo good... but worth it! Looking for something refreshing? Also had the rosé sangria, light and refreshing for the summer ? They have a patio and are open indoors, everything is set up according to social distancing. Can't wait to go back!

After a couple of years I returned to this place. Somethings changed and some remained the same. Or maybe 2020 is a wacky time? They have a beautiful patio regardless of it faces the road. Their restaurant opens up into the patio so you get the breeze and fresh summer air. Hopefully Covid free air. I walked in and the hostess was polite and got me a table right away. I had a massive table for two in the corner. I waited 5 min...10 min....it took 25 min till the Karen inside of my exploded out. No server in sight, I was forced back to the hostess. She couldn't find a server for my table so she took matters into her own hands. I wish I got her name because she was genuinely nice and professional. I did voice my thoughts to the manager. I wondered why my table was ignored for so long? Where was my server? Why am I still hungry and thirsty? Can I have a glass of water or should I drink the liquid wax from the candle mocking me? The manager said that our table would be taken care of. We ordered drinks and an app. My drink, Mona Lisa is still a hit and a favourite. The calamari was okay and the shrimp that came with it was not prepared well let's just say. My server finally showed up and asked if I was ordering mains because the kitchen was closing. I batted my eyes, smiled and said 'nope'. I didn't want to stay with an unwelcoming or unapologetic server. I waited for the manager and requested the check. She brought a blank receipt...I was confused but that was her cute or clever way of not charging me. Thank you for that at least.

They are currently only taking reservations on the patio. Seating was adequately spaced and all staff wore masks. You are asked to wear a mask when entering to use bathroom. Felt safe bringing my wife here during these times. Food was good, ordered margherita pizza, squid ink pasta, and truffle frites. Dessert menu was basically non-existent.

Simply delicious. Always a wonderful evening out and Beauty makes a mean cocktail! Well done to her and the rest of the crew.
