Passed by Downsview and found this Caribbean restaurant. We ordered the oxtail dish and a mango-carrot drink. The oxtail was flavourful with a generous portion, and the drink was refreshing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Simple interior, but comfortable atmosphere. Weâll come back when weâre in the area.

Ordered two beef pattyâs and one festival. Waited forever just to get a microwaved patty it was so soggy. The festival was hard like a rock from being over microwaved. For something so simple to go wrong I donât even want to try their actual food.

Goldstar is hands-down one of my favorite spots for Jamaican food. The curry goat is super flavorful and tender every single time. Iâve also tried their stewed beef and stewed chicken, and both were absolutely phenomenal . You can tell the food is made with care. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and every visit has been a great experience. Definitely recommend if youâre craving authentic Jamaican dishes done right!

A very underrated & rare restaurant. Me & my co workers are slowly working our way through the menu and havenât had 1 bad dish yet! Even the salads and rice is delicious on its own. Whether youâre craving soup, fish, beef or Pattieâs you will not be disappointed
