Stopped by with my husband to grab some takeout, and wow—what an experience from the moment we walked in to the very last bite. Dennis, you were an absolute delight! So kind, so friendly. And letting us sample all your signature drinks before ordering? You’re spoiling us!
We went with the al pastor and carnitas tacos plus a couple gorditos… and I think I’ve finally found the authentic Mexican food I’ve been searching for. Dennis, you’re in trouble—I’m officially a regular now.
Thank you for your patience, warmth, and incredible service. Those tacos have been living rent-free in my head ever since. Can’t wait to come back—very soon!

Had the chicken tacos, they were amazing! We went in the evening so the self serve toppings were almost done. So I would go earlier next time. The space is small but still had a authentic home feeling. Also had an hibiscus/sorrel drink. Really good, it's a large portion.

I originally found them through the Toronto Food and Drink Festival, and they're now my go-to Mexican restaurant for when the craving hits.
Everything is homemade, from the tacos, to the burritos, to the drinks, and its all delicious!

Been meaning to check this place out. Finally got the chance this past Saturday.
Having been to Mexico City, I've been searching all over Toronto and even Michigan for a taste of Mexico tacos. Everything was a disappointment until I came here.
Owner was super nice. And walked us through her menu and made recommendations. Ended up getting 1 of each taco and a 2 gorditas. She even gave us samples of each of the drinks she has on offer. We were surprised when she gave it to us in a liter size deli container.
The tacos and drinks were amazing. This was the closest thing to Mexico I have come across. Needless to say I have found my spot when I have those taco cravings.

Authentic halal chicken tacos. The best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.
As a California transplant, I’ve been looking for good Mexican food since I moved to Toronto. I’m so happy I found Gorditas! I usually default to steak but when the owner said the carnitas was their best seller, I knew I had to try it. Hoooolllyyyy… it was the best carnitas I’ve ever had! And the chicharron gordita was amazing too! I’m literally looking at their menu again tonight thinking when I can go back. Yup, it’s that good.
Edit: Just when I thought they can’t get any better, I saw on their Instagram that they DON’T USE SEED OILS! Wooohoooo!
