Avoid the game night! It turns into the sports pub by some regulars, and they absolutely have no manner??‍♀️Screaming, jumping, speaking too loud.. all kinds of noisy jazz were happening, but no one tried to calm them down or tell them to behaveHonestly, food and service were good, but, unfortunately, I wouldn't come back as I'm not a sports pub diner

Han Ba Tang is my go to spot near Finch for a fun dinner with friends. The food is well suited for a drinking night, and the menu is quite inventive.

If you're looking for a cure for a bad day, it's a night at han ba tang. Everybody is amazing, fun, and they let me take photos like that. If you read this and end up coming, show this review to Tony or Gin, they're the bartenders (Tony in the photo). They probably won't give you a discount, but you never know ;)

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts!Pig trotters always taste best in the form of Jokbal. Braised in a sweet soy sauce full of aromatics, the meat is tender while the skin is gelatanous which provide a pleasant contrast of textures as the fat dissolves in your mouth. To complete the each bite just wrap the meat in lettuce along with your choice of korean banchan and raw veggies, with a vinegar-based sauce to balance each bite with a touch of acidity.

I've been looking forward to trying Han Ba Tang for a while after seeing this be the go-to place for a few other friends on a night out. We came in after work with a party of 4 and the restaurant was pretty much empty as the night was still early so we were seated right away. What we got:- Original Jokbal- Softshell Crab with Habanero Mayo and Yuzu Sauce- Truffle Creamy Rice Cake- Kimchi Udon- MakguliFinal Thoughts:The vibes were great, but nothing special overall.Rice cakes were over-cooked and too soft, I'm not a huge fan of seafood where you have the crunchy shell, and it was the first time I had jokbal which I found too fatty. Perhaps my expectations were too high coming in or the items we ordered just weren't to my taste. Would come back but probably order other things.

Nice vibe nice food but the music is too loud. A bit overpriced but acceptable.Must try: Pork knuckle

Food was not bad but the service is basically not exist. We have to get up several times to get our own napkins and chopsticks. We also have to ask them two times before they give you your side that supposed to come with your main. Moreover our dishes that's been finished just sitting on the table so we have to pile them up ourselves because no one comes to collect them. And when we were about to check out they said it's a party of 6 or more so there's a mandatory 18% tips which was not mentioned anywhere before.Who will be willing to pay the tips in good amount when there's no service at all?

While searching for a Korean restaurant that is close to the subway, I came across Han Ba Tang. It’s for a family gathering with some seniors and a kid. We made reservation for Friday night early dinner around 6:30pm.I really liked the vibe but the music was slightly too loud for the older folks to have a good conversation. The food was great - a bit more of a pub style.Although it wasn’t easy to order for some who don’t eat spicy food or meat, and allergic to crab ?? we managed to order some yummy dishes.I really liked the rice balls and the fried cheese was really good as well.By the time we finished most of the dishes and wanted to order more, the house was full and we had to wait for the additional dish a while. The waitress was quite apologetic since they were understaffed.I’d be back to this place maybe have some food and some booze as well. The vibe was quite “alive”.The washroom is located in the basement so it’s not wheelchair friendly. There were also a few kids at the restaurant. I’d say it’s ok for kids - plus they usually love fried food anyway. ???Public parking is available at the back of the restaurant.

Ordered spicy pork hocks with mussel soup and rice balls to go. Paid $63 in cash for everything, and I think the portion size is pretty generous for what it pays.Mussel soup was kind of salty and didn't look like it was made fresh because the overcooked green onions were sitting at the bottom of the container. But the overall quality of the food was decent. I ordered level 2 spiciness for my pork hocks, but I think I could try level 3 next time since it wasn't that spicy for me.Parking is extremely limited, especially on weekends, as it is one of the busiest areas in North York. One thing that I would like to mention about the service is that the server who handed over the food didn't even say "hi," "thank you," or "goodbye" as if I was invisible. Do they not acknowledge you unless you dine in and give them hefty tips? They should learn the basic courtesy for their customers whether or not they tip.

My work recently changed offices to North York, and as opposed to the downtown core, the Yonge/Sheppard area has a fantastic amount of dining options, specifically asian restauraunts. Han Ba Tang is described as Korean Fusion cooking and their dishes are amazing. From the fried pancakes to duck, chicken, bento-style boxes/dishes, and bao sandwiches everything we tried was delicious. Favorite was the jokbal dish, recommended by the owner and it didnt disappoint. It's best to come here with a group as sharing dishes family-style was definitely the way to go. Most nights of the week this place is incredibly busy and its easy to understand why. If you're looking for an upbeat place to eat/drink and have fun, this is a great spot in North York.

4.6 / 5.0 bar only There was no food after 11 on a Thursday. But the open front windows and sexy vide drew me in. This bar serves great food, but I missed the last call for kitchen food. But when I randomly walked by, I felt transported to Southeast Asia. I actually went next door, regretted, and left and came here. This is a trendy, Korean-Canadian QueenWest style bar with personality. It’s eclectic. From what I watched, service was intense and professional, atmosphere was pumped by bartender playlists of originality and hip hop. It took me out of Toronto and made me feel anywhere. The server - she was so hard working. Bartender Tony had the best hip hop urban playlist. I felt welcomed and transported. Grateful for this experience. If you’re in the area OR like Korean culture, I felt I was in a progressive Seoul bar - and wouldn’t have know the difference. This place is a Toronto North Gem.
